membengal
Now can we start talking about beating the s#$* out of Cleveland on Sept. 11th?Maybe we should play the rest of the pre-season first ? Pre-season is fine and all, but geep's point is salient, the attention can go to the field and the field solely. No more 17 threads on Pollack, his agents, who is at fault for the holdout, Mike Brown's alleged cheapness, or anything else.I am with geep on that, bring it on, the focus is now fully where it belongs (for the fans anyway, I am convinced that ML and company have not been distracted in the least from their preparations). LABengalsFan09
Good to see some of the OGs for Bengalszone coming back as the season nears (JPW, Wazlav, Barbarian?????)

DesperateDerelict
Mark Curnutte just told 1360homer that Pollack better get ready to be ridden on by the coaches harder than Odell has been. Irish Bengal
Sounds like Pollack might get to play on Friday. Bengals.com said he's making the trip to Washington. I hope he gets on the field for some valuable experience!

markymark69
Agree with many when they say, it's about time (actually way past time). Interesting note. Brad Johansen was just on 1460 the Fan (Columbus) and said that the deal was the same as it was two weeks ago.But enough of that. I'm glad he signed, now let's get down to talking strictly football. It's amazing how many people don't know that quote from the movie animal house. It makes the classic quote even funnier.Good to see DP finally signed, now with PDub and DP in the fold the Bengals can focus on winning with the full force and potential this team has. Does anyone know what kind of shape Pollack is in? Weight? Anything can better than the way Hardy played last year. Simmons needs to have a good year. rizzy
After listening to the press confrence today with DP and Marvin I think by the start of the season DP will move up to be the starter. That just seemed to be the tone with all the questions answered.
ArmyBengal
Wow, what a day makes !!! Where are all the people calling for Pollacks head at now ?? Spain, your thoughts ?? I was never pleased with the hold out on either side, but knew Pollack would be here sooner or later, as most did. What impact will he make from this point on is the big question... There is still alot of time before the season opener, so we shall see just how far "ahead of the game" he is, as ML had stated previously. I still don't see this guy starting any time in the first few weeks, pending an injury of some sort (God please no injuries !!!)... All that being said, I'm happy as hell he's finally here !!!Oh yeah, not knowing the line from animal house should be punishable in some way shape or form. Not only did you not know it, you offered a correction !!!That makes the not knowing ever funnier in my book !!! Good job !!! VERY WHODEY !!! HoosierCat
curnutte:David Pollack and Bengals coach Marvin Lewis talked regularly during the rookie linebacker’s 20-day contract holdout.“We were trying to get it solved,” Pollack said this afternoon, just hours after he signed a five-year $10 million contract. “Coach is my friend now. He’s my coach, my authority figure. … He’s like my significant other.” OK, I've heard lots of football players talk about their coaches, but that has to be the first time I've ever heard one refer to them as their "significant other"
