2026 Reds

The Reds spring training starts this weekend and we are about a month away from opening day.

Baseball means spring and the end of winter to me, so color me happy about that.

The 2026 version of the Reds?  I actually think they may be good this year and have a shot at the NL Central.
Not sure they did enough, but it will be interesting to watch them play.

Their starting rotation may be the best in the division and if not, it's really close.
Same thing for the bullpen.  This is nice to see from the Reds.

The infield is pretty solid as well and they brought back Eugenio Suarez in free agency.
The outfield is probably my biggest concern with the team and what they bring to the plate.
That group needs to bring more in 2026 if they are going to contend.

Overall I'm excited to see the season start. 
I will be catching the Sunday game of the opening series against the Red Sox.

Well, today is opening day for the Reds and Andrew Abbott gets the start against the Red Sox with a 4:10pm start time.
I really wish they would have left the tradition of the Reds playing the first game of season.  Shame...

I got tickets for Sunday's afternoon game and will see Rhett Lowder take the mound.
I'm really hoping Louder has a good season this year and sticks.

0-1 here we go again.

Couldn't muster a single run in support of Abbott who threw 6 shutout innings.

Then here comes the bullpen.  UGH !!

Ok, so they have done better since opening day.

Took the series against the Red Sox and took the opener against the Pirates.

We went down to the ballpark for Sunday's afternoon game and I just love hanging out down there watching the game.

GO REDS !!

Go Reds.  The National League is really strong this year.  Guardians are scraping by.  I wish we still had Tito.

They are playing decent ball right now.  Need to be more consistent, but not too bad.
