Stripes Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Good. He didn't seem to be assured a starting role, which is fair. He has enough time to demonstrate his value before week 1. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Craig Yeast. (Insert Obi-Wan pic here.) Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time… Anyhow they signed his kid to the PS. https://www.cincyjungle.com/cincinnati-bengals-news/173412/russ-yeast-son-of-craig-yeast-texans-cuts Quote
Stripes Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Now I need to find that guy on Twitter that told me in no uncertain terms that the Bengals did not have the cap space to pay Chase, Tee, Trey, AND sign a starting-level guard. Unfortunately, I will absolutely not do that. For someone with 23,000 posts on a forum called "Bengalszone", I do have something resembling a life. 1 Quote

Had to look to see how many posts I had after seeing this, I’m over 24,000. Man I started here a young 20 something kid, to an old 44 year old man, had 2 kids got married, been through a lot since I signed up here way back when. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 8 hours ago Author Report Posted 8 hours ago Color me happy with the Risner signing. There were people not thrilled but what makes Patrick so much better? Because he was already on the roster? Had Patrick not been signed early on, I think there’s as good a chance as not that he would be right where Risner was in waiting to sign. Even if he’s nothing more than solid veteran depth, that’s a huge get. I’m a time where the supply doesn’t meet the demand, I’ll take a guy like Risner all day. Quote
HoosierCat Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago I don’t have a problem with Risner either but there’s a reason he was still there. He’s a 30-year-old with back problems. He might be able to give us 10 games, or he might only last 10 plays. I’d rather have him than not but he’s an OWUD and we’ve seen that movie before. If we need him I just hope he lasts. Quote
