ArmyBengal Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 Have the Reds been "THAT" bad in recent years that no one talks about them at all ?? In regards to an offseason, when was the last time the Reds have been so active and in an apparent mode of "WIN NOW" ?? It's been exciting to this point with all the talent they have brought into the organization. It should be a fun season and without even seeing them take the field, I can tell you I will be visiting GABP more this coming season !!! GO REDS !!! Quote
Stripes Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 I'm looking forward to it, but I'm keeping my hopes down. I'm not sure these offseason additions are going to do the trick even in a weakened division. I'll be watching though. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted February 4, 2020 Author Report Posted February 4, 2020 Yeah, can't say as i'm calling for a World Series title, but certainly better than what we've seen in recent seasons. I'm looking forward to the "better". Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 22, 2020 Author Report Posted July 22, 2020 So Friday night is opening day for the Reds. Have to admit that even with there being no fans in the stands, I’m looking forward to watching pandemic baseball. GO REDS !!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 25, 2020 Author Report Posted July 25, 2020 Loved watching the game tonight and boy did they look good out there. Gray with a stellar start and they put 7 runs on the board. Keep it up Reds. Love that baseball is back !! Quote
COB Posted July 25, 2020 Report Posted July 25, 2020 Ha ha! The Reds kicked the crap out of the Tigers. I love it. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 Oh no, we suck again, Reds edition: Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 28, 2020 Author Report Posted July 28, 2020 And how exactly does that shit happen ?? I mean seriously. How do you manage averaging better than 12 K's a game and keep losing ?? Stupid bullpen !! That and why pull a pitcher after 6 when he's struck out that many and dominating ?? It's not his pitch count is getting up there. In both game 2 and 3 against the Tigers, those starters should have gone 7. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 I haven’t paid much attention to baseball for years but I suspect one thing hasn’t changed: it’s all about pitching. And if you don’t have it or use it right, you’re doomed. Hopefully they learn. And find some arms! Quote
Stripes Posted September 30, 2020 Report Posted September 30, 2020 They're in the playoffs, and Trevor Bauer is the probable Cy Young-winning starter. Zeroes through three, looks like it'll be agonizing and tense. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 30, 2020 Author Report Posted September 30, 2020 Following along on the computer. Bottom of the 7th and still goose eggs, but the Reds have a man on 3rd with 2 outs. GO REDS !! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted September 30, 2020 Author Report Posted September 30, 2020 Caught stealing home ?? The Reds ?? Ballsy call right there. Call it stupid, but if it worked, it would have been genius. Quote
COB Posted April 8, 2021 Report Posted April 8, 2021 You Reds fans better get in here and gloat. Now is your time. Kind of tough for me to watch Naquin mash for you guys. Dude was always ascending in Cleveland, then as soon as it’s time to pay him - goodbye. Quote
Stripes Posted April 8, 2021 Report Posted April 8, 2021 It’s a bizarre offensive explosion to start the season, largely driven by Naquin. So sure: gloat. I don’t trust this roster to maintain anything like this though. Also, Joey Votto needs to be moved down in the order. He’s an all-time great and should be an easy Hall of Famer. But it’s time. Quote

Brandon Phillips had a similar path if I remember right Naquin looks to have the talent when healthy. India will probably cool off, but Suarez hasn’t done much yet and is due to hit better along with Votto Totally I agree with Votto needing moved down in the order. Seven should be his place I the order, with multiple days off to get Farmer some at bats On 4/8/2021 at 11:49 AM, Stripes said: It’s a bizarre offensive explosion to start the season, largely driven by Naquin. Stripes Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Votto's doing his best the last week to tell me to STFU. Quote
