My money is on WJ3 returning from PUP, so I can't envision the loss of Lewis-Harris being the be all, end all.
WJ3 would provide depth at CB as well as a boost to special teams play, that hasn't been all that special through the first half.

Peerman would obviously give that same boost and more to ST, but the depth at RB isn't as problematic.

CLH apparently still has PS eligibility, so don't be surprised if the "first shoe to drop" just gets put back on another foot today.

Still on the edge of my seat awaiting the second shoe...

Was just reading Hob's new Hobson's Choice column, and it appears that shoe #2 is (drum roll please!) Brandon Thompson coming off PUP! (insert sad trombone sound here)

Hey, if Brandon Thompson can be the reason Geno gets less attention, I would consider that a huge positive.
I'm sure there's a reason I'm sitting here thinking that won't be the case.  Hmmmm....

That's the whole LB corps in my opinion.
This needs to be addressed MUCH sooner come the 2017 draft.

I remember listening to Paulie G after the draft and he basically said they don't value LBs with decent draft choices.    But they could definitely use speed and tackling this year in the middle of the defense considering how much zone they've played.

For those keeping score the above means Chykie Brown, who was cut in Baltimore for sucking, will now replace the guy we just handed CB hungry Baltimore so we could sign a guy we let walk in March.

I hope WJ3 truly isn't ready and this wasn't in desperation to help this team win.
I know Bernard is down, but Burkhead should have been given more opportunity in that spot.

Another rookie we won't have any idea about until next year.

My guess is that they would have turned WJ3 back on until Gio got hurt. Still hard to make a case for Peerman at 3-6-1. Why not activate Tra Carson from the PS instead? Oh, well.

Assuming both are equally ready to go, I'd have preferred WJ3. They have Carson to bring up from PS, so that'd covered rb depth. With Dre and PAC struggling, Jackson could have gotten some experience.

Peerman won't get meaningful snaps at Rb, so this is solely for STs . We will see what impact he can now make, I guess.
