HoosierCat
Well, this was the Browns bye week, so you know what that means... Quote Johnny Manziel out in clubs in Austin, Texas, and at Ohio State-Michigan State game over his bye weekend CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Johnny Manziel, who promised the Browns wouldn't have to worry about him over the bye week, was photographed out and about in Austin, Texas, on Thursday and Friday nights and then at the Ohio State-Michigan State game in Columbus on Saturday morning. An Instagram video - first published on bustedcoverage.com - by DJ LX shows Manziel enjoying himself at the Summit Rooftop Lounge on Friday night, with a pink bottle of something in his hand. The caption by the DJ reads, "Sippin on Dom Perignon for no reason with Johnny Manziel.' http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2015/11/johnny_manziel_out_and_about_i.html#incart_2box
ArmyBengal
Something about Manziel's face makes me want to punch him as hard as I am able, but at some point in time they need to leave him alone. If I were his age, I would probably be doing the same thing and worse. I was 19 when I was in Germany with no drinking age, no speed limits, and legalized prostitution. Without going balls deep (pardon the pun) into my history, no one was watching every move I made and posting them on youtube. THANK GOD !!! Then again, I wasn't the starting QB for an NFL team. HoosierCat
Yup, I was hardly a paragon of virtue at his age either. But your last line says it all, Army: he is an NFL QB. The spotlight comes with the job. If he wants to keep it he has to act the part.
COB
When I was his age I was leading youth prayer meetings, wrapping up my Eagle Scout badge, and helping old ladies across the street. Still, I'm a little shocked to find Johnny Football out partying, I thought he got successfully rehabbed.
ArmyBengal
Now I'm of legal drinking age, there are speed limits on the autobahn, and I'm married. Octoberfest is pretty sweet, but not as cool as when I was 19. Cincinnati has the 2nd largest Octoberfest in the world as well.
HoosierCat
Unless they changed the rules you have to wrap up your Eagle Scout badge before you turn 18, COB :) It was close but I got in under the wire thanks to such difficult merit badges as "reading" and "space exploration." Anyhow, JFF may get benched now: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/24/pettine-tired-of-manziel-incidents-wont-say-he-remains-browns-starter/
ArmyBengal
JFF ?? Johnny F*ck Face ?? Just look at his picture in that link. Tell me you wouldn't like to punch him right in his suckhole.
gregcook68
Making them graduate college couldn't hurt.
HoosierCat
JFF demoted to third string behind Austin "Who?" Davis. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/24/browns-announce-josh-mccown-to-start-johnny-manziel-third/ Cleveland:
BengalszoneBilly
Johnny ain't never gonna get his act together. They sooner they dump him, the better off they'll be.
COB
The owner is going to have to sell a whole mess of nekkid lady silhouette mud flaps at the truck stops he inherited from his daddy if he wants to keep paying all his alcoholic players who don't even play anymore AND the players who actually do still play. Gonna have two teams pretty soon!
BengalszoneBilly
Well Cleveland has decided to give Johnny Cocktail ONE MORE CHANCE to start, providing he behaves/meets conditions. I dunno. I give him 50-50 at best.
HoosierCat
That's what happens when the stadium is 50% empty and a third of those that are there are fans of the other team. Not sure how Pettine and Farmer still have jobs today.
ArmyBengal
Also doesn't help when what's left of the faithful in the stands are yelling, "JOHNNY, JOHNNY"...
COB
I prayed to Satan this would happen. Johnny Football must be on the field for maximum Browns organization implosion! Maybe he'll play great and he can wreck the tenure of their next GM/head coach combo just like he did the current pair.
COB
Does watching from the sidelines as Austin Davis plays one game cure alcoholism? Stay tuned Cleveland Browns Nation, this riddle could take several seasons to play out!

BengalszoneBilly
I'd still love to see Cleveland beat the Steelers next Sunday, just so the foul taste stays on their lips until next season.

Pretty much makes Pettine the defacto GM and the new GM becomes more of a personnel guy.
HoosierCat
I think it's safe to assume (especially with the news above that the HC who hates him is staying) that Johnny now gives zero FFs: http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2015/12/mike_pettine_says_of_johnny_ma.html
ArmyBengal
I think Farmer leaving was almost a certainty. Pettine getting another chance isn't all that surprising, at least to me.

HoosierCat
apparently JFF just blew the team off today, didn't show up for the game, didn't answer his phone, basically pulled a Darnay Scott one game ahead of schedule. Lol
