Dalton needs to get his head out of his you know what and start throwing the ball to our WR's if we are going to make a run for anything. He's still over throwing guys and getting out WR's blown up. Then on deep routes he under throws them and they have to slow down for the ball. The off play calling has to get better too. We throw on 1st down and get nothing, then we decide to run up the middle on 2nd and get very little which leaves us 3rd and long. Now, when we had Whit pulling and blocking, that opened up some big holes and got us some good yardage.

My prediction, we win another close game at home. Bengal 17 Colds 14.

Colts injury news:

Starting defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois will miss two to four weeks with a partial tear of his plantar fascia (the ligament that connects the heel to the toes), Colts coach Chuck Pagano announced Monday. The injury is similar to one that sidelined rookie outside linebacker Bjoern Werner for three weeks in October.

Jeff Linkenbach, who moved into the starting lineup in place of Mike McGlynn at right guard, suffered a slight tear of his quadriceps and will be week to week.

Special teams standout Boom Herron suffered a torn pectoral muscle. The injury will require surgery and he will be placed on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Pagano said Fili Moala will move into Francois' spot and be backed up by rookie Montori Hughes, who was a game-day inactive Sunday.

McGlynn will take over at right guard if Linkenbach is unable to play.

There was better news regarding cornerbacks Greg Toler (groin) and Josh Gordy (groin) and linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle). Pagano said all will return to practice and be eased into action Wednesday when the Colts begin preparations in earnest for their game Sunday at Cincinnati.

Toler has missed five games, Conner two and Gordy one.

If they bring a rookie in on the o-line when you have something that proved to work very well, they need their heads checked.

I hope it's smoke as well, because if it's not, it's a move that should be questioned GREATLY.

What's that saying ?? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ?? Yeah, that seems to apply here.

Sucks for Boling though.

I'll be pissed if that happens as well. Unless, of course, they do well with Hawkinson or Pollack.

But what if? What if the actual reason for success was just getting Boling out of there? I hate to say it but it's not like the guy has been playing well this season. If you had to pick a glaring weak link on the O-line, it would be him.

There was a glaring weakness somewhere in the middle of that line. I kinda thought it was Cook and maybe he had a part in it but I think we've certainly identified one culprit

Well as i wrote in the O -Line thread Reedy said Pollack was written in as the LG starter. While I like Pollack I just hate this news. There goes one of the best o-linemen in Collins back on the bench. I just don't understand anymore!

As frustrating as it is, I don't know enough about all the technical parts of the game so I just have to concede that the staff knows more than I do and knows what's best for the team.

One of my head scratchers is the no huddle they used once from the opening bell and scored 35 points, never to use it like that since.

I'm sure they have good reasons and I just have to hang my hat on that.

With Collins on the field it puts the 5 best OL out there. In a playoff push isn't that what you would want? Your right it's whatever the coaches think is best, but I just hope it's the right choice. I just hope hope can pull like Whit, that move worked awesome, and the way he was blocking guys 10 yards down the field was awesome!

Not questioning your logic at all Vol. It sounds spot on. I, myself, just don't know enough beyond the 'game watching' part of football to go very deep into strategies and so forth. Never coached or a played a single snap of organized football. Played and coached baseball forever, but that's another story!

Throw the ball when we're not throwing it well ??? Throw the ball when we are opening up big holes???

I think we should look at running the ball right down the throats of the Colts. Law Firm and Gio are proving an excellent compliment to each other. Run run run and throw when we are in long yardage situations or are chasing the game at the death.

Whelp, we're doomed...

Nope. We can't be screwed and another team isn't. This would mean that the Patriots lose as well. They won't. Bengals won't either. They are going to kill the Colts. I have that feeling. It's perfect.
