Honestly, I can't even say a vet WR would help.

It seems to be if Dalton doesn't have good chemistry with them, it doesn't matter.

One of the things I saw in him last night was being hesitant.

It was like he didn't trust his WR's to be where they were suppose to be even though they appeared to be open.

Then again, it's easy to say that sitting in my living room having a frosty beverage.

I freely admit (pass me that plate of crow, thankee) that I hated the pick of Herron

But after three excellent punt-defense plays plus a really nice kickoff coverage tackle and decent performance late at rb, I am really, really warming to the guy

As you all know, I am a HUGE fan of great special teams play, and I haven't seen a Bengal do that well in punt-blocking in successive games for a long, long time

What does one want out of a backup RB? Great special teams play and decent occasional carries.

Its early, but I like what I am seeing a LOT.

The big problem last night was not poor WR play. It was the O line. They didn't allow Dalton enough time to find anyone more than 5 yds downfield. Seems to me that this is a recent thing. Hmmm. What's changed? Maybe center! How 'bout Marvin goes back to Robinson and let's Cook back him up for now? Let's not get too cute and change things up at this point. We've actually got something to play for here in late December

I went to bed (UK time) after Dalton's first strip sack, spitting feathers. I was convinced that they would lose this game. Pleasantly surprised to watch the rest and see they Eagles hand us the game. Let's not kid ourselves, Philly lost the game, we didn't win it.

A few observations:

- I hate Tate with a passion, he is absolutely horrible (A Jones on PR please)

- Dalton needs to take his thumb out his arse and throw the ball. ( I think he got spooked by that early throw to Green that should have been a pick six the other way).

- Gruden needs to stop trying to second guess the defense and stick with things that are working.

- Please keep Cook as far away from the field as possible

- Boling needs to learn to cope with twists and stunts (granted he wasn't helped by a terrible game from Whit)

- if Elvis is done we need to acquire a vet FB, quickly

- the o-line (esp fat Dre)struggles, big time, against smaller, quicker fronts (thankfully PIT/BAL are neither small nor quick)

- Burfict is a star, in the making

- I'm amazed at the plays Gilberry, as a completely stiff, unathletic DE, has been making

Overall, rest up, learn fast and be focused for s**ttburgh, next week. Come on the Cowgirls!!! :sure:

damn, guess yesterday is official last bengals game we will ever watch, since dec 21 come before next game ;)/>

Dim, at least we got out with a win! Damn Mayans, they could have extended the calender until after the playoff picture was decided at the very least.
