Sea Ray
Maybe this isn't exactly Bengals but I wanted to get the announcement out as soon as possible as I imagine there are a lot of you like me that have suffered without NFL Network for many years now. According to one of the people, NFL Network will be placed on Time Warner’s digital basic tier, while RedZone will join the carrier’s Sports Pass, which includes NHL Network and Tennis Channel. ArmyBengal
Wow good news for those unfortunate enough to have to deal with the stupidity that is Time Warner Cable.I wouldn't wish NOT having NFL Network on anyone.
HoosierCat
Don't count on it staying on the "basic" tier for long. Initially that's where it was on Comcast, until right before the season when they created a new "sports package" and poof it was gone. HoosierCat
Yup, comcast sucks nads. Expensive as hell, s**tty service. Im keeping my fingers crossed about a report that came out recently of a company that wants to wire the whole town I live in with fiber and provide an alternative. They've apparently done it successfully elsewhere in Indiana.
JaxonFord87
Per fox 11 news in green bay:For Time Warner and Bright House customers, NFL Network will be available on the digital basic and sports pass tiers, while RedZone will be available to sports pass customers. I agree if I need the money that this will be one of the first bills to bite the dust, but it is worth the cost as of now. At least in my area cable runs much more for less quality and quantity. COB
Patrick Stewart, the bald guy from Star TREK not Wars, tried to get Time Warner to install in his new house. After he recieved the usual run around and bulls**t that only a monopoly can provide, Stewart tweeted, "All I wanted to do was set up a new account with [Time Warner Cable] but 36hrs later Ive lost the will to live, It doesn't say it in the attached link, but elsewhere I read that he went with DirecTv and was pleased with their service. I have Time Warner at home and they absolutely don't give a crap about their customers. For you old timers, you may recall Lily Tomlin doing her phone operator character, and laughing at complaining customers, then saying to them, "We don't care. We don't have to. We're the phone company." That's Time Warner. Cable's refusal, enabled by the politicians they buy off with campaign contributions, to supply menu service (I'd pick like 8 channels), and instead stick to the "tier" system, where you are forced to get and pay for a crapload of channels you don't want just to get the few you do want, is a travesty. COB
Star Wars, Star Trek, whatever... I think I'll go back and edit that. I'm not a huge fan of either, though I had to laugh when I saw some of the original Star Wars recently, and the special effects that so wowed me when they were new now looked so pedestrian that it was almost laughable.
