COB Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 I didn't get to see this game, but based on the comments in here about Herron, I've got to believe it will be adios, not even a practice squad spot. He looked good in previous games, the mighty Indy defense must have been too much for him. Quote
bwillycuse Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Preseason is a joke and this preseason for the Bengals showed me less that any previous seasons I can remember. At least offensively. I hope the injuries are mostly precautionary. It'll be interesting to see the official injury report. Not going into the first week very confident. Very excited, but still want to see if the Bengals can put a complete game together. Oh and preseason sucks and 4 games is way too much. How again do they charge full price for these things? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Can't say as you can put much into this game.If you look good, it's not against the oppositions #1's.If you look bad, you are in big trouble. Some of these guys won't be playing football ever again after cuts are made today, so I don't put much into a loss in the 4th preseason game of the year. With the what appears to be many of the starters coming back from injuries, I will hold my concern for at least another week or two.3 players I did like through the preseason however are:Cedric PeermanVontaze BurfictMarvin JonesPeerman makes the team with little thought. Can he be worse than Scott to this point ??If the Bengals try to place either Burfict or Jones on the practice squad, they will be snatched up. Quote

TJJackson Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 New guess on the identity of burger boy - Corey Dillon (he of the "i'd rather flip burgers than play for the Bengals" fame) Quote
Earendil Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 New guess on the identity of burger boy - Corey Dillon (he of the "i'd rather flip burgers than play for the Bengals" fame)It's Andre Smith. Quote
Earendil Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Nah, he's the Flesh ZeppelinShula said Roland was in and asked if BurgerBoy was out. Roland was playing right tackle iirc, meaning that Andre was out.Why was Roland in there? Is Burger Boy hurt again? Freeney/Mathis just schooled Whit and Roland, not sure why Dalton even tried to throw it.Marvin Jones just dropped a sure TD catch - ugh. Peerman running very well. Quote
kingwilly Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Watching the game now... Marvin Jones dropped a sure TD, but makes up for it with a TD catch the next series. This is a game only to assess your 2s and 3s... Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 45 yd TD pass to a wide open RB in the flat, this team's LBs are..not good.Get f**king real it's 4Q of preseason game 4 they are scrubs you are just one negative personYeah and how many wanted Muckelroy or Moch to make the roster and contribute this year? So much for that. One got cut, the other is suspended for 4 games. They were both playing at that time.Basically they don't have any upside in their LB depth beyond Burfict, who isn't good enough to start right away. I hope they can get by again, but letting Ray Rice run crazy twice a year, for starters, isn't going to help.WR's look good. There, happy? Quote

Back in the Dhani Jones days a healthy Muckleroy might start Quote
