Of course I'm drunk now and watching Tosh.0, so obviously I'll like anything right now.

Careful where you go with that Billy.

:sure:

Jesus Mark, I'm drunk at home. Not a gay bar! ^_^

Lesson learned, eh?

Well they were generous in buying me drinks.

Watch that tape and then tell me if he's slow. Did he get caught from behind even once?

He won't "stretch the field," but he's like having another WR/RB. Shipley hasn't exactly "bounced back" from his injury either apparently. I am guessing they'll take another WR sooner than later also.

I thought Shipley's rehab was going well. Have you heard about him having a setback?

Sanu will be to Green what Housh was to Chad. He's a tough, physical guy -- he was originally recruited as a safety -- who isn't afraid to go over the middle and relishes the big hit. If Shipley comes back, that's even better, because we need the depth. But there's pretty much nothing not to like about Sanu, as far as I can tell. Smart, tough, hard worker, versatile, it's all there. Love the pick.

So basically Housh without the douche?

Baltimore fans are PISSED that we drafted Sanu.

Let's look at what has progressed thus far:

Browns managed to last until the first round to start reaching and haven't stopped.

We've taken 2 coveted players from the Ravens with Zeitler and Sanu. Possibly Thompson.

We've watched the Steelers draft a player who tested positive at the draft (usually something the Bengals do)

The Bengals have filled most of their needs drafting players with excellent value at their slots.

If I had to rank the AFC North drafts so far I would have:

Bengals

Steelers

Ravens

Browns (a very distant 4th)

I still covet Richardson. Sue me.

Well, if we go 4-12 again we'll get our change to draft a mega-stud. AJ Green's are a once every 1-2 decade picks for teams.

And productive. Caught over a 100 passes at Rutgers last year which is not exactly Oklahoma or Florida

after watching some highlights of Sanu on youtube. i have a couple observations

lots of wildcat - direct snap runs with good vision - he will be good after the catch/versatile

he sure looks fast for a slow receiver - he is definitely quicker and faster than tj. come to think of it. I don't really get a Housh type feel from Sanu.

The crushing blind side block on that td run is a dirty Ward type play. i like the physicality but that's a definite penalty now in NFL. But hes not shy of contact.

Not much to find wrong with Sanu for WR2. The one pick I actually got right when the time came.

At first I thought he was comparable to TJ but after listening to people from Rutgers who are familiar, he is a terrific athlete. I think he is more like Anquan Boldin. Would be great if he and AJ could be a Fitz and Boldin type combo.

I keep thinking "Tab Perry" ... which is a great thing. I bet Mikey is licking his chops to see if Sanu can play both ways at safety... ;)

a few years back, my son was a ball boy for the local high school's basketball team. for a couple of years, the only player on that team that talked to the ball boys was Mohamed Sanu. if he came out of the game, he'd reseat the ball boys so that he could talk to them about the game, about how they liked school, etc. It was nice to see the Local Living Legend was also the most generous and self-aware member of the team.

I feel bad for my son, who's now likely to begin to root for the Team of Perpetual Disappointment. I wouldn't wish this burden on anyone

coming out of HS, I thought that Sanu was a slam-dunk safety, and I think that Schiano agreed. But-- Rutgers had an opening on offense and just couldn't get him off the field once he began to play with the offense. that I'm aware, he's not played a defensive snap since he left high school.

I do recall him punting in the Rutgers spring practices as he was rehabbing from an injury. He was the best punter on team.
