HoosierCat
The Bengals announced Tuesday head coach Marvin Lewis' offseason workout schedule at Paul Brown Stadium that begins this Monday, April 16, and takes the field for the first time at the May 11-13 rookie minicamp. The vets and rookies get on the field for two three-day voluntary camps and one four-day camp starting May 22-24 and ending June 4-7 before the June 12-14 mandatory minicamp./>http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Lewis-sets-spring-sked/81598811-c20c-4f4c-85a9-ddbf8db6032d
HoosierCat
Here's this year's SoS breakdown:/>http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/56896/2012-nfl-strength-of-scheduleCleveland has the third-hardest sked this season (.527) and plays 7 games against teams with 9+ wins last year. Baltimore is No. 4. Cincy and Pitt are tied at 14 (.500) but we play one fewer game against quality teams (5 vs. 6).That bodes well.

derekshank
Ya' gotta admit Cleveland got f**ked. Not that I have a big problem with it.Cleveland only has 7 games against "quality" opponents. 6 of those 7 games are the AFC North. There is nothing the NFL schedulers can do about that. When you are the worst team in the best division in the NFL, you're going to have a tough schedule.

HoosierCat
Anyhow, back on topic, the Bengals have released ticket pack info for their home games. Per Reedy, they also say all the reduced-price season ticket seats have sold out. There are two four-game packs and four two-game packs.4 game pack 1: Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. Packaging two crappy games with two games featuring teams who travel well.4 game option 2: Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens. Palmer hate should drive some sales here.2 game choices:Pack A: Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns - will probably sell out because of Pitt & division foe in ClevelandPack B: Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins - that's a toughie, NFC team + crappy AFC teamPack C: Denver Broncos, New York Giants - If the Broncos still had Tebow...Pack D: Oakland Raiders, Baltimore Ravens - This package will sell out in about 0.05 seconds./>http://www.cincyjungle.com/2012/5/30/3052419/cincinnati-bengals-announce-two-and-four-game-ticket-packages-go-on

HoosierCat
Assuming you believe Hobson, sales are brisk. They are (unsurprisingly) getting a good response to newly discounted seats. In the wake of announcing Ticket Packs for the 2012 Bengals home season going on sale Thursday, June 7 at 9 a.m, team officials said Wednesday that season ticket sales are the best since the club came off its first AFC North title in 2005.Jeff Berding, the Bengals director of sales and public affairs, and tickets sales manager Andrew Brown wouldn't get into specific numbers but said the total was in the thousands and Berding said there has also been an uptick in suites sales since the April 26-28 NFL Draft.Although strong response to lowered prices has exhausted the supply of this year’s least expensive seats ($40 per game, now sold out via full-season tickets), Ticket Packs will be available starting at $53 per game, still the lowest price for Bengals tickets since 2005. Ticket Packs will have a per-game price below the cost of comparable single-game tickets (whose availability for the regular season is yet to be scheduled). I'll keep watching on TV, when I get the chance and listening to WLW, the Big One.
ArmyBengal
I'm looking at the 2 game pack with Oakland and Baltimore.I could and would like to do more, but will start with that.I like how buying the game packs gets you second in line to season ticket holders for playoff tickets as well and doesn't require the purchase of preseason games that can be had for less than half of face value on stubhub or ebay. Sea Ray
Or a seat licenseThat's the thing. Why buy season tickets when you have to pony up for a seat license and pay for the preseason games too? Seems to me their system clearly discourages season ticket sales and I'm baffled as to why they'd want to do that...

They dont care about the extra costs, it is pocket change.

If I decided that I had to go to every game, I'd pick out my seats and buy them in 2 packs, 4 packs or whatever. You're talking a difference of thousands and even well to do folks don't want to part with that. Let's face it, this isn't Green Bay nor has it ever been
Passepartout
Think that the Dalton era will be a great one. And that he is the future and face of the franchise. Let's face it, this isn't Green Bay nor has it ever beenAnd that will work fine as long as the Bengals have trouble selling out games. But if the team continues to have success, I expect that sellouts will come easier, which in turn puts pressure on anyone who wants to go to the games to buy season tickets (with all their attendant seat licenses & crap) to ensure they get seats. But that's not likely to be a concern in the short-term. 2013 or 2014 maybe, if the economy and the team both keep up their end of the bargain. I'd love for them to start selling out like GB and KC but...
HoosierCat
Top 3 ticket packs so far:1. Cleveland Browns & Pittsburgh Steelers2. Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys3. Denver Broncos & New York GiantsNo surprise that both packs with the Steelers are leading. Kind of odd that Broncos/Giants is third. Could be that Manning effect mentioned earlier.
