HoosierCat
Per his twitter, presumably with the Bengals as Dunlap is on twitter encouraging him to sign so he can play with his bro behind him. Jones says we will "C soon."I would actually not mind bringing him back. He's a knucklehead but I love him on teams and he's at least a decent nickel. BengalPimp
I wouldn't mind having him back either. He'll help at the CB position and won't cost a lot, leaving money to sign other players. We're seeing average CB's like Routt, Carr, and Finnegan get over $10 million a year. That's ridiculous. We could have Jones for $1 or $2 million, then pick up one in the draft. ArmyBengal
Of course talks are good with him. He's mediocre, has an attitude problem, and looked lost at times on the field last season. Let's not forget he hasn't put his stupidity behind him. If it weren't for the fact our secondary is a freakin' mess, he wouldn't be a thought. I can just see him and Kirkpatrick hanging out or even Jenkins for that matter. Nice influence there.I also wouldn't use his name in the same sentence as Carr or Finnegan. Both are far better CB's than him.
walzav29
Isn't he facing a lengthy suspension? Aaron Ross, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Jones if his suspension is only 4 games. Would improve the secondary. They really need Nelson, but with Barron not working out he could slide to the 2nd round.
Kazkal
I thought he was fine when healthy and his return ability was still amazing.Would love to see Pacman comeback even if we take a 1st round CB because he's gonna be better 4th/5th stringer then we would find. I mean, we cant lose everyone can we?But for Jones, only as a nickel and I do want to see him healthy returning punts at least. If he isn't returning kicks, then i don't know if he can really help. ArmyBengal
Well, if the only thing he's good for is returning punts, use one of our two 5th's on a dynamic punt returner.I know he would provide depth, if nothing else, for a weak CB corps, but I hate his attitude. wpeldios
No, No, No, No. This team will never take the next step if they keep making the same mistakes. I wouldnt let him pay me to bring him back. Ok I probably would, but thats just because I am broke.
HoosierCat
I think we need to bring back Pacman. I mean, who else is Vontaze Burfict going to learn from?
COB
Vontaze has all the characteristics of a classic bust. Just a violent guy who likes football for the violence, but is lazy in his preparation. I'm already disturbed enough by our lazy d-linman tweeting that he wants to play with his "bro" pacman, we don't need a triumverate of idiots on the field to match the one in the front office. derekshank
Pacman is back. He's an idiot... but he's a good punt returner and solid CB depth. Assuming the Bengals draft a CB early, I'm really happy with the secondary.Per ProFootballFocus:Adam Jones allowed 16 completions on 32 targets. Coughed up 1 TD, and notched 3 PDs last year. Decent season in coverageHall, (Rookie... Gilmore?), Clements, Allen, Pacman... pretty damn decent.
Kazkal
Give me a 1st round CB and I will be quite happy with our CB corps :>Pacman as #5 CB or 6# is okay by me
volcom69
Yea I'm ok with this move, but I hope they use him in punt returns this year. Secondary looking pretty good. I agree draft one in the first round.

I think he has a pretty low ceiling in the NFL as a CB. He also has interviewed really poorly at the combine and his pro day.In the first round I'd prefer Gilmore or Fleming to Kirkpatrick. ArmyBengal
I hate Jones. Idiot, Idiot, Idiot...However, he was hampered with the hamstring injury last season and if he can provide that same pop as a return guy, i'll live with this signing. I suppose the same can be said of him benefitting from having OTA's, camp, and preseason, so there's always the hope he can become more in our secondary.I just don't want to hear how he's "turned the corner" and "doesn't have those issues anymore" and "things are so much different in my life because of my family" sh*t anymore. I don't believe it and I don't care. Just shut the f*ck up, stay out of trouble, and play football.Scratch Kirkpatrick and Jenkins from the draft wish list, because I wouldn't put either of them within stones throw of Jones and his stupidity. I'm with Derek in Gilmore mode.

Now I also want to say that is one big "IF"!
ArmyBengal
How many times do we have to hear the story about how he's turned his life around ??He's turned his life around so many d*mn times I don't know he walks upright due to dizziness.Again, I don't buy it. Sorry...
redsbengalsbucks
I'm not saying I buy into it either, just that if they do draft one of the CB's with issues, hopefully the resident idiot has some life lessons that can help them better prepare for the NFL. cHaD711Johnson
Great talent and he'll be completely healthy this year I love this signing. I think we'll see better play from him and now we're suddenly deep at this position. Throwing in Gilmore to this mix would make us a very talented secondary. volcom69
Still wonder if they will go CB first round anymore. I could see them go WR and DT, or Guard and WR or DT. Alot of options for them I still hope for Gilmore though
ArmyBengal
Just like the BJGE (There has to be a better nickname and I don't like the lawfirm) I don't think the Jones signing changes anything in regards to the draft. I still think they will and SHOULD take a CB in the first round. It's a clear need with Hall still on the mend, the age of Clements, and the uncertainty of others. Not only that, how many times do you get 2 first round picks and how much does the talent drop off at the position in comparison to some other positions of need ?? Meaning, I think the talent drop off in CB between the first and third round is HUGE and maybe even the second round. However, a #2 WR could still be found in the 4th round.
