Bengals Targeting Jeremy Mincey

Bears and Seahawks also supposedly interested, with the bears and Bengals having the most interest.

There was talk the Jags might franchise Mincey but in the end they did not.

Mincey had a breakout year last year: 40 tackles, 8 sacks, a pick and 4 FFs. By contrast in the 5 previous seasons combined he had 36 tackles, 7 sacks, 0 picks and 0 FFs. Most of those (including 5 of the sacks) came in 2010 though, so the case can be made he's coming on.

I would like this if they cut Geathers, and sign Rucker back. He was a heck of a player this year, i remember when he played the bengals he looked pretty darn good. I wouldnt mind if they did sign him.

It would annoy me to see a DE get drafted early, so this would at least lessen the likelihood of that. Go for it.

Pass rush help, yes please. You can never have enough people who can put pressure on the qb.

I wouldn't mind this in the least. The position could certainly be upgraded and had either Guard or CB been addressed in FA, I would have been in favor of drafting DE early. The Giants are a perfect example of what putting pressure on ANY quarterback can do for you.
