HoosierCat
I'll bet that the Bengals sign him. He's Zimmer kind of safety.Well, if by "Zimmer kind of safety" you mean "like Roy Williams you can count on him to spend half the year hurt on the bench," then yeah, he's a Zimmer kind of safety.Landry has missed 15 games over the past two years with an ongoing Achilles injury, in addition to struggling with hand and groin problems. Wraith
Landry can cover, the question is can he stay healthy.I am a fan of picking up Landry in FA, every FA is going to have some flaws, Army at this point you are sounding an awful lot like Jerry Seinfeld evaluating women...does Landry have "man hands"? cHaD711Johnson
Landry weighs 250 pounds right now. No way in hell do I sign him to play safety at that weight. He's not going to be able to cover at that weight. The achilles issues look to be because of roids, honestly. Shocked that he hasn't gotten caught yet. DC_Bengals_Fan
I'm with Critic - no way in hell. I wouldn't be surprised if some team found themselves without his services for a 4 game stretch.*Unusually ripped physique that doesn't match his frame? Check.*Too heavy for his position? Check.*Ongoing tendon problems? Check.Obviously can't prove anything, but I wouldn't take the chance. Even if he is completely clean, overweight + weak connective tissue = bad. volcom69
John Clayton thinks he's one of the best at the position and thinks he will be a big free agent! Who knows anymore how he is
Scottishbengal
Don't know anything about this guy really, seems he has experience and potential to play at a high level but has the achiles injury completely healed or taken it's toll??. If we signed him to a low $ contract or even a "get paid if you played" type of deal would that be more acceptable? Probably not to Landry though. Seems he'd be an big improvement to the backfield if he is over his injury but guess the medical staff would have a close look at things if he was a serious option to bring into Cincy. walzav29
Chris Crockers performance in the playoff game drove me insane. I want him gone. The dropped INT and that pathetic attempt to tackle Foster was the end for me.
Scottishbengal
The dropped INT and that pathetic attempt to tackle Foster was the end for me.And it may prove to have been the end for Crocker as well.Would love to see Mays or Sands pushing for a starting spot. Wouldn't be too upset to see Landry too if he is over his injuries/surgery.
HoosierCat
For those keeping score on the safety front, it appears that the Titans will tag safety Michael Griffin instead of Cortland Finnegan. So that makes three safeties, Griffin, Branch and Golden, who got tagged. On the RB front, the Seahawks got a new deal done with Marshawn Lynch, and the Texans got a new deal done with Foster. Finally, on the WR front, the Bills have done a deal with Johnson so he isn't going anywhere. DC_Bengals_Fan
Wes Welker and Dwayne Bowe have been franchised.WRs are drying up.At least for those two, no chance their teams let them go. At least it wasted the tags.
