membengal
Yes. As far as I am concerned, a guard in free agency shouldnt preclude getting decastro.
jonahdsage
So if we sign Nicks AND draft richardson...how would you all feel about keeping Bobby on for another year? Sign him to a one year contract, don't expect the rookie guard/tackle we draft to start his first year...maybe Otis develops?

I wouldn't complain about that, but it would depend on what CB was there at that pick and if he would be rated higher than Glenn. It should be fun to watch. Otis ?? Wasn't he suppose to be the player to really push people last season only to see Boling and McGlynn both do poorly, but not poorly enough to see him get a shot ?? Color me still unimpressed with that pick. It was a late rounder so i've gotten over it a bit since then. However, nothing would please me more than to see him turn into a guy that could at least backup the position.
HoosierCat
I just think nicks price will be outrageous and we wont pay it. Grubbs is a helluva player in his own right and improves us, now.Unfortunately, Grubbs isn't going to come cheap, either. The Ravens signed Marshal Yanda to a five year deal worth about $6.5 million a year and have reportedly offered Grubbs a similar deal. But Grubbs wants to test the market, apparently. So I would figure you are looking at something on the order of $7 million/year minimum to land Grubbs. Probably more, depending on the number of interested teams.I would be happy with either Nicks or Grubbs, but you know this team as well as I do and they have never been willing to pony up that kind of coin for a guard. membengal
I don't want Grubbs for cheap, nor do I view him as cheap. He would cost plenty. But not as much as Nicks is going to in my judgement.
volcom69
Yea I don't see them going after a big name guard I'm sure they will talk to them but don't think they will pay them. I see them bringing in a guard just not a big named guy, somebody like that Lutui last year till he failed his pysical
