membengal
Dc and philly? Score. That puts three over my way next year.
Scottishbengal
Depending on the time of year (and so the cost of flights) I'd be thinking of either Raiders or Cowboys at home. Redskins or Eagles away would be much easier flightwise as there will be direct flights from London but not sure how difficult it would be to get game tickets. Hmmmmm - food for thought. What are other folks preferences ???
redsbengalsbucks
If I was going to go to a game, which is highly doubtful, I would go to KC. I've always wanted to see a game at Arrowhead.

Scottishbengal
Whats DC like as a city?? I've heard you don't stop in your vehicle cos of high car-jacking instances.
Spor_tees
So depending on what place the Bengals finish this year, the toughest game would be against Buffalo or New England, and Texas or the Titans. If the Bengals can bring back a half way decent team next year they could win 10 games out of that schedule.
DC_Bengals_Fan
Whats DC like as a city?? I've heard you don't stop in your vehicle cos of high car-jacking instances.Used to be that way 20+ years ago, much less so now. Highly dependent on neighborhood. The stadium isn't in the best area of the metro area (it's actually in Maryland), and there's not much to do there anyway so you wouldn't want to stay near it. In the city, though, there are a lot of neighborhoods that have been cleaned up, have great nightlife, etc. Those areas are as safe as any other major city.Being a fairly expensive place to stay, though, there's a tradeoff between distance, safety, and cost. Of course, since the dollar's worth f*ck all these days, what do you care?
Scottishbengal
Strangely enough I accidently bumped into an older American couple today in a village near Inverness. I picked up on their accents and got chatting - turns out they come from Philly. They reckon a lot of $$ has been spent improving the city over the last couple of years and that it would be worth a visit. They said that DC's not as bad as portrayed - the outskirts neighbours may be worth avoiding but thought that generally if you had some street-sense I'd be ok in either city, but they had a biased preference to Philly obviously.Heck this season isn't even a 1/3 of the way through and I can't wait til next season!! Hope the fixture-gods are kind and give me an opportunity for a Cincy-DC or Cincy-Philly two game trip !!!
Spor_tees
Honestly unless the AFC West and the NFC East get a lot better over the next year, you might see 2 playoff teams come out of the AFC North.
Scottishbengal
Wasn't there 3 a few years ago - Pitts, Balt and Cleveland making the play-offs ?????

Scottishbengal
Aye, I thought we (the AFCN) provided 3 teams into the play-offs, quite a rare situation.

I can't say for sure though.I also think this same thing happened in the past back in 1990 when the Bengals went to the playoffs.

I'm really looking forward to the crowd reaction when he steps on the field for the first time (although he's already plenty accustomed to being booed by Bengal fans).I think we should all go and throw some garbage on the field... you know, just to remind him of home.
