HairOnFire
Actually, they did open on the road in Tampa last year. But other than that you are right, that's the only road opener they've played since their laundry was reissued after the players left for Baltimore. League loves them some Browns. Can I assume you're familiar with the saying about how an exception often proves a rule? Truth be told the only reason I was aware of the above is due to the Tampa example above. As for the NFL lovin' some Brownies, I couldn't say. All I know is they're still propping up that franchise in the same ways that an over protective parent might delay removing the training wheels from of his kids bike. volcom69
Sporting News says the browns will score 31 points on the bengals defense! If thats the case the bengals will lose.Once again i dont think the media knows one thing about the bengals except Carson Palmer retiring, and that Mike Brown sucks! Other than that i dont think they know any names of the defense players.

Over the last two seasons the Bengals have allowed more than 30 points only 5 times, and one of those was the we-don't-care week 17 game against the Jets in '09. DC_Bengals_Fan
I can do better: Peter King predicted the Bengals would lose in a 33-13 blowout. It's nuts.Agreed. There's no way they put up 13 points.Joking aside, I could easily see a 10-6 barf-fest vs. either team putting up 30. O/U is about 35, which seems rather optimistic. Heck who knows anything can happen, but i think if the defense gets back to 09 play, and plays physcial and plays there gaps, i think they will be alright. The offense kind of scares me, not sure how Dalton will do in his first real game, i hope he keeps his nerves down, and settles in fast. Hope the o-line plays its best to give Dalton time to throw the balls, and the running game needs to work in this game!!This is a new Browns team so we dont know much about them, so i dont know how the defense will be but i bet they blitz early and often trying to make Dalton make mistakes. Dalton keep the mistakes down a punt can be your friend.

You can likely expect that scenario almost every game this season.Agreed. As the season goes on and Dalton makes progress, the WC offense will be his best friend against teams stacking the line and/or blitzing. He's got the quickness to make the throws, he just needs time to get down his timing with the receivers. Opposing defenses will eventually have to respect the passing game as he gets better because if they don't, it's Gresham for big chunks of yardage and Green turning a 8 yard slant into a TD.However, it will be rough at first. Run the ball down their throats with AFC North run down the clock smash mouth football!

Scottishbengal
I think it'll be run options on 1st and 2nd with a run or pass on 3rd downs depending on the amount of yardage still required to move the chains. I agree the boxes will be stacked but I can see our running backs piling into and through them for most of the day.
Sea Ray
Colin is so annoying because he's damn lazy. He's a front runner and only follows the big boys, particularly the east coast. He doesn't know anything exists west of the Appalachians. Why ESPN gives him so much exposure is beyond meOh yeah. Very lazy. But he's controversial and that creates ratings. Partly because he does come from a sociological/economic perspective that doesn't allow any emotion to enter the conversation. Of course, that's why people follow sports because they are an emotional attraction and attachment. His dismissal of all things not logical comes across extremely insulting. Thus controversial, thereby increasing the ratings for his show.By the way, he's playing this "elimination pick" league where you can only pick one winner per week but you can't pick the same team more than once. His strategy to start the season involves picking the Browns to beat the Bengals Sunday. While this might happen, it will be interesting to see how long he lasts before getting eliminated.By the way, did Colin ever address how he could have screwed up his cold, hard lock pick this early in the year? Just wonderin' if anyone heard his excuses on why the Bengals won. Full moon or something?

Just wonderin' if anyone heard his excuses on why the Bengals won. Full moon or something?Funny because he bailed out and picked the Cardinals over the Panthers. He almost lost that one. I think he felt pretty beat up from last week. His predictions didn't go to well. It wasn't until yesterday, 4 days after the game, that he even mentioned the Bengals. He said "they have the potential to string together some wins if they start 2-0." Whatever.
Sea Ray
He said "they have the potential to string together some wins if they start 2-0." Whatever. That's real profound. So if we lose this week we no longer have the potential to string some wins together? And this guy makes a living doing this? Where can I get in on that?
