membengal Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I got a tweet to that effect. If so, pleasantly surprised. Quote
walzav29 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Yes they did. Which is amazing. I hate Bruce Gradkowski. I hope Dalton can learn like Will Hunting. Now we have to sign Joseph. Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Correct me if I am wrong but isnt this the first time we have had the first round pick signed before the first practice since palmer? Thank you Rookie wage scale. Quote
membengal Posted July 28, 2011 Author Report Posted July 28, 2011 Even with the rookie wage scale, I figured something would hold it up. Glad to br wrong. Want see dalton announced today as well. Quote
walzav29 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 With as brutal as this offseason has been. The last thing that was needed was a holdout. Quote

cincyhokie Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I think this says more about Green than it does the Bengals. Dude wants to play and produce. I like it. I also appreciate the Bengals efforts to get it done quickly. Quote
walzav29 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I really like Green. That is going to be a breath of fresh air. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Hobson tweeted a bit ago that it looks like Sands and Lindsey have been signed as well. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 In what seems to be something of an emerging trend this year, Schefter tweets that Green's deal is 100% guaranteed coin. So props to the front office for not showing their usual resistance to new contract ideas. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Details, details. Big C says it's 4 years, $20 million-ish./>http://www.middletownjournal.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/dayton/big_c_nfl_blitz/entries/2011/07/28/aj_green_agrees_to_terms_with.html Quote

The NFL's new rookie wage scale was taken directly from page 3 of Mike Brown's manifesto.Hopefully this makes for a quicker transition for the rookies. I believe the Broncos (my local team) have signed all of their picks at this point as well, so at least the Bengals FO is on track with the rest of the league on this item. Quote
