TJJackson
Three time All-SECSmartVersatileI love this pick. My favorite pick so far.from nfldraftcountdownClint BolingHeight: 6-4⅝ | Weight: 308 | 40-Time: 5.30Clint Boling | Georgia BulldogsOfficial BioStars Strengths: • Pretty athletic with good quickness, agility and balance • Shows nimble feet to shuffle, slide laterally and mirror • Technically sound and understands positioning / angles • Able to pull, work in space and reach the second level • Tough, intense and plays game with a nasty demeanor • Smart with great football IQ, instincts and awareness • Versatile and is capable of playing multiple positions • A hard worker and team player with leadership skills • Durable w/ lots of experience versus elite competitionWeaknesses: • Merely average size w/ short arms and small hands • Isn't stout at point of attack and lacks a wide base • Not a road grader and push in run game is mediocre • Must hit weight room and work on getting stronger • Minor off-the-field incident that must be checked outNotes:A four-year starter and team captain for the Bulldogs --- Named 2nd Team All-SEC in 2009 & 1st Team in 2008 and 2010 --- Finished career with a 38 game consecutive starts streak --- Honored as part of UGA’s "Team of the Decade" --- Arrested and charged with driving under the influence in 2008 but pled guilty to a reduced charge and served a one game suspension --- Underwent arthroscopic ankle surgery during the summer of 2010 --- Played every offensive line position at Georgia except center --- Could play tackle in a pinch but ideal fit at the next level will probably come inside at guard --- A battle-tested veteran of college wars with the talent to enjoy a long pro career and compete for a starting job --- Should at the very least be a quality swing backup. Each of us can quibble about this guy or that guy but I give the Bengals a ton of credit for letting this draft "come to them" instead of reaching big due to need, as so many teams have done. BengalPappaw
Really love this pick!I was afraid we had waited too long.I agree now we need a couple more O-linemen.My only concern is not the player -- but the o-line coach. Lets hope he does not screw this guy up by sitting him on the bench watching inferior players in his position. Where is the next Jim McNally when you need them!? Looking over r1-4, there is quite a bit of "need" picks, as well as the obligatory "local" player to draw in the locals... Some team are flat bad at drafting, yes Houston, SD, Cardinals.... The emotional fan side of us keeps getting shut up round after round. Great selections so far. If they can keep getting value and not reaching, this could be the best draft in years. They had a huge trade down offer from Atlanta in the 1st round, and declined it for Green. Personally I think discretion was the better part of valor there. Then the boys in the war room bided their time and landed Dalton in the 2nd.Something has changed, and I can't put my finger on exactly what it is.
