Long-Time Team Doc Quits

Dr. Robert Heidt stepped down as team doctor, a position he held the past 27 years, according to WKRC-TV. It's a telling move for a team that misdiagnosed WR Antonio Bryant's knee injury so badly they paid him $8 million guaranteed in exchange for one practice.

Better late than never, I suppose...

Looks like the despondency and accusations train finally pulled into the station at the medical staff office. I'm sure we all can join in saying about time.

That is until we all discover Mike has a grand-nephew that just graduated from medical school. In the Cayman Islands.

And he needs Mike to send him $500 and his account info PIN No. to his checking account so he can forward his inheritance to MB.

Angelo Colosimo out as well:

I am struggling to view this as "stepping down" and "relinquishing their roles". Were they fired or not?

My guess is that Colisimo was basically fired. Two big missteps this season by the medical staff cost this team dearly, especially in the case of Bryant.

Both Galloway and Reilly are Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. They replace Dr. Robert Heidt and Dr. Angelo Colosimo. Heidt stepped down last week after 27 years as a team physician while Colosimo and the medical staff came under fire this past season after the signing of Antonio Bryant and claims by Rashad Jeanty's agent that Jeanty's injury was misdiagnosed. While the Bengals do not list who their head team physician was last year, Colisimo's bio on UC's website lists him.

yea he was fired, should have been fired the minute they found out bryant knee was shredded. what gets me is that bryant's injury seems to be the career ending type. how in the hell do you miss that? if this was my team and some hack cost me 8 million dollars for 1 practice. not only would i have fired him, i would sue his ass off. how in the hell do you f**k up that bad?

Jeanty signs

Eagles signed LB Rashad Jeanty to a one-year contract. He's 27 yrs old, 6-2, 243 lbs and last played with Bengals in 2009.---Adam Schefter on Twitter..........@AdamSchefter

"He didn't see much action in '09 before taking over for the injured Rey Maualuga, but he saw significant playing time in 2008 when he showed tremendous potential as a two-down backer," wrote Khaled Elsayed. "His work in run defense was excellent, as highlighted by a strong performance against Baltimore in Week 13 when he notched up nine tackles (eight of which were stops) and was a real sideline-to-sideline force.

I maintain that losing Jeanty and cutting Abdul Hoge cost this team early last year on special teams. Nice to see him land somewhere else. Hopefully their doctors are better than ours were.
