DC_Bengals_Fan
Per Reedy at player organized OTAs:Andre Smith still has a boot on his foot but hopes its off by the end of week. He has also slimmed down. Definitely not over 350. Biggest thing Smith said he is working besides rehabbing the foot is nutrition. It shows. Definitely leaner. What, too hard to get to the fridge while in the boot?

johnswahoo
Good news if it's true. To this point, he has been a bust. When they drafted him and he subsequently held out in a contract dispute, I wished then the Bengals would have pulled the contract and allowed him to reenter the draft. To this point, Smith has been a bust. The few games he has played he has done a decent job but honestly I wish he was never a allowed to step on the field for the Bengals. Now, that he is on this team, he must prove to me and perhaps to all of Bengal nation that he was worthy of a first round selection. Regardless of his playing for the Bengals and they type of team Brown puts together year in and year out, he was still picked in the first round and should play like one. The only thing that is going to change my mind about him will be the performance on the field. Cutting weight is a start in the right direction. ArmyBengal
When Smith is healthy (hasn't happened much) he is a better option than any player on the roster. If he has dropped the weight and all things are healed, this could be a very good season for both him and the o-line.Does he have much to prove ?? Sure, but i'm ok with that as opposed to any other player currently on the roster.
