HairOnFire
Told ya. Yeah, me too. Sadly, at the time I didn't take note of which posters were most heavily leaning on the panic button so I can't fully exploit the opportunity to mock and belittle. As a result the reader will now have to picture me shaking my junk triumphantly in no particular direction. shake/shake/shake

I wouldn't call it panic... but based on Benson's previous history and my belief that Goodell reacts more on perception than facts, I said I'd be surprised if he didn't get at least one game.I am surprised... So mock away. But if you shake you're junk in my face - it will get punched.

jjakq27
Bumping for review and any "I told you so's" as people may be in the mood to dish out...No suspension for Benson?! That's awesome. Glad to see him get a chance to tell his side. I am sure the league did some recon and were in contact with the local authorities if he indeed called the police that night. Great news.Good to hear that he is so appreciative too. I'd love to see them lock him up for a couple of years now.Dotcom article:http://www.bengals.c...d0-301e48c3b038
Sea Ray
Play with fire enough times and you get burned...Bengals.I assume he'll likely be suspended regardless of outcome. Yay.They shouldn't sign him to a long term deal any ways until after the season, tag him if you have to.I guess we can hope for a short suspension of 1-3 games, but who really knows.Weird that no one found out about this, or reported it, until almost two months later.Time generally does exploit the naysayers.Good to see that this was just a media trumped up story. Let's all remember this lesson and not jump to conclusions the next time and make no mistake, there will be a next time. This story will play again with someone on this team indeed

walzav29
What am I supposed to do? I don't have access to meetings. Everything I read said he was a raging maniac. I'm a victim of bias anti-Bengals media. Aren't we all on the same team? Come on people.
ArmyBengal
This is great news as had he not been available at the beginning of the season facing the teams we do, it would have changed things up a little. It was the right conclusion to come to based upon the news we heard. Like Derek said though, based on his past and how things have been going with Goddell lately, I wouldn't have been surprised had it worked the other way.Happy for Benson and the Bengals overall. No other issues pending which is very nice !!! As a result the reader will now have to picture me shaking my junk triumphantly in no particular direction.I wasn't one of them, but I'll defend those who did with this: While Benson's situation sounded like BS, who had confidence in God-dell to exercise restraint when his chopping block sported the neck of a Bengal who had been previously suspended? I didn't particularly. That said, here's to Herr Kommish getting one right.

I think Gresham gets done sooner rather than later and we will continue to role with whatever we have at RT, just like last season.Benson seemed to do pretty good last season. BengalPimp
And, upon further review, BengalPimp.Like I said before....Goodell is a D*ck, so I have come to expect the worst from him. That said, It would have been hard for him to justify a suspension for Benson, seeing that he just gave Braylon Edwards a pass for assaulting one LeBron's boys, and also let Vince Young off the hook for assaulting a dude in a Strip Club. Good News.....
