HairOnFire Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 Bengals claimed RB Cedric Peerman off waivers from the Lions. The Bengals never replaced Larry Johnson as the third running back, so Peerman has a chance to take that role. Unlike L.J., Peerman can be asset on special teams. Quote
HairOnFire Posted April 27, 2010 Author Report Posted April 27, 2010 Bengals pick up PeermanPosted by Michael David Smith on April 27, 2010 5:13 PM ETThe Cincinnati Bengals have announced the acquisition of running back Cedric Peerman, who was claimed off waivers from the Detroit Lions. The Baltimore Ravens selected Peerman in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL draft. They released him prior to the start of the regular season, and then he spent some time with the Browns and the Lions, but was never active for a regular-season game. The Bengals are now his fourth team. Because he was in the league but never on an active gameday roster in 2009, Peerman will technically be considered a first-year player in 2010.Peerman had 14 rushes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the 2009 preseason. Because none of you seem to realize how I signed a lifetime service contract decades ago, in blood, and I'm happy to do this without pay. And I say that because swapping with all of you, in the manner that we do, has it's own rich reward. Quote
