cincyhokie
Something to think about. Emotions spent these past weeks.Who spent more? The Jets pining over their playoff lives against the Colts and Bengals? The Bengals dealing with the death of Chris Henry? This team needs to get back to understanding they have nothing to lose! Underdogs is what they have been all season and they are there again.

I suppose a rematch makes sense for the early game, considering two of the other three options are also rematches and neither team has the advantage in preparation time. volcom69
This is all fine and dandy, but if the d-line and LBs get pushed around like they did tonight then they wont be going anywhere anytime soon. The O-line better show up as well Palmer had no time to throw tonight, and the Wr better be ready to catch the ball. I just really want to see something better then this.
ArmyBengal
Well, let's hope the return of Peko and Crocker will make all the difference in the world and the Bengals realize that EVERYONE knows when Roland goes in motion IT'S A F*CKING RUNNING PLAY. Do they think they are fooling anyone with that anymore ?? Early in the season, great. 10+ weeks of seeing the same play ran identically and expecting the same results, not so much. Please bring something new Bengals. Please... If it comes to fruition, I'm perfectly OK with the Bengals losing this game in order to give the Jets less looks on the offensive side of the ball, next Saturday. That said, the "D" still needs to play better. If it comes to fruition, I'm perfectly OK with the Bengals losing this game in order to give the Jets less looks on the offensive side of the ball, next Saturday.Yep. Did you notice how they barely used the power run game, which has been their bread & butter all season? The few times they quit d*cking around with Scott and gave the ball to LJ they got yards -- but then immediately went away from it. Clearly they had no interest in giving the Jets any practice at stopping their ground game. That said, the "D" still needs to play better.Yeah, the line got abused. For all the ridiculous moaning about Tom Nelson, he would have gone unnoticed if the d-line hadn't been shoved around like a bunch of girl scouts. walzav29
I don't know what to think. If your resting Benson it tells me you're not going all out. But to get publicly humiliated on National TV like that was pretty rough. I have a hard time saying the Bengals have no chance against the Jet's but I doi wonder what a spanking like this does to the team. Marv said they can't turn it off and on. Well they sure turned it off. Can they turn it on?

Well they sure turned it off. Can they turn it on?I agree completely. I haven't seen the game ( I have it taped ), but for my mind it is about momemtum and confidence. You can't just turn on 'winning' like a light switch! Apart from Ced, who did they bench from our offense? It sounds like we just didn't play well again on offense, and coupled that with a depleted defense who also didn't play well. How is that supposed to help us for next Saturday? I would have much preferred us to get a win yesterday and go into Saturday's game with some confidence. Did Marvin put in most of his starting players and just tell them to lay down? If so...why? What benefit can they possibly get from that? If not, what happened to the Bengals who swept the Division? There is absolutely no upside to a shut-out like last night. Heads will be down and confidence at an all time low. You just don't play your worst game of the season, just before a play-off game!!!!! Just plain stupid team management, or the players have no faith or pride. Either way yesterday sucks!

walzav29
Boy today is ugly. Daugherty and Chick have bailed. Peter King and Don Banks have thought the Bengals sucked all year, and if the Bengals wanted to play the world is against them card. They couldn't get any more ammunition if they tried. The week they have no Pro Bowlers they lose 37-0 on Sunday Night Football. No one seems angry from the team or anything. Either they've given up or have a wicked plan. He had it when he was here as a newspaper reporter covering the team and his venom for the franchise is thinly masked. I just don't get it. Did Paul or Mike Brown piss him off at some point?Regardless, they made the playoffs when all of the so-called experts said they couldn't do it. Also ask the Steelers and the Texans how they're feeling this morning. Bet they wish they were the Bengals.

Id like to go with the former but I think we know our coach so by process of elimination.......Hey maybe they are happy to be in the playoffs. success even if they do get crushed. And if they get crushed, then this team is really in no better shape now than they were after the draft. But now they have to play san diego and Indy next year.If they lose they will lose even more credibility and hear comments that we took the playoff spot of more capable teams as an imposter team.cmon Bengals - You backed into the playoffs - dont really deserve to be here - Take advantage of the fact we barely beat Pitt and Balt in 2 games and pitt lost gimmes to give us this chance. So many other teams really wanted to be here. Do you? Show it?And really, is anyone taking the Bengals next week? They are favored by like 2.5 points. I bet all the betting is on the Jets.Ugh - This team.....I want to think they are good. I didn't say the Bengals suck, they are going to lose, or anything of that nature. How exactly am I killing you ?? Heck, I didn't even mention the Jets in my post. You do mention Brat's creativity and that is more my point and all I'm asking for is something outside the blatant obvious that make it very easy to gameplan against. Sorry for the killing... Sure, in a preseason game when both teams are bland and vanilla, the game is competitive. What happens when one team goes vanilla while the other is fighting for its life? 37-0.Why did most of the starters play? I figure Marvin wanted to keep them in game shape rather than just sitting them for the entire week.
