jjakq27
Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley has convinced himself that the Bengals and the Patriots will "lay down" in their games on Sunday just so the Steelers don't get in. Interestingly, some of his team mates disagreed. It's week 17 LaMarr. You had 16 weeks to take care of your own business./>http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20091231/SPT02/912310376/Steeler+says+Bengals+will++lay+down+
Ickey44
Yeah, I saw that this morning. I also saw in reaction to that, Ryan Clark asked why would we be scared of them because we've already beaten them twice this season. Woodley's a tool. membengal
Loving Mark Schlereth sitting in for Golic on Mike and Mike this week. He took a big whacking stick to Woodley for the quote. Said, quite correctly, the Bengals and Patriots have earned the right to play this week as it best benefits them, and if the Steelers had not quit for five weeks straight after being 6-2, perhaps they would not be in this position. Drew a chuckle from me.
HoosierCat
Oh, come on, mem. What kind of naif are you? Don't you know that Woodley is absolutely right, and that, moreover, a paralyzing fear of facing the Steelers is the only possible explanation for Indy pulling its starters last week? DC_Bengals_Fan
Tough cookies. Would we rather face a rookie QB and HC over the Steelers? Yup. Would I relish the opportunity to screw them? Yup.
semiotter
Yes if they would of T. C. B they wouldn't be in this mess , needing help to get in. Piss on them. I'm loving it. It has made my week. On there Steelers Face book page all their fans are really giving Indy HeLL for laying down to the Jets. And they really think the Bengals are going to play the starters even if the Pats win. LoL.
Ox
Personally I really don't give a rats ass what a backup linebacker on a 3rd place team thinks, to be quite honest with you.
BengalPimp
I would love to see Ochcinco score a TD, then proceed to "Lay Down" in the End Zone, followed by other Bengals "Laying Down" on the sidelines......But then again, Lamarr Woodley isn't worth a $10,000-$20,000 fine........Would still love to see it happen on National TV though... We lost a lot of close games this year - I want to blame that on Madden and his curse on Troy. He is the rock of our D. It's like the ratbirds without their murderer at MLB. Miami will be gunning for us tomorrow. I believe Porter will show up to play to get some revenge for getting let go. Hoping we'll see you next week in the playoffs, but it's a long shot. BTW...Pittsburgh fans are saying the same things about what Woodley said. We lost most of our games by 3 points and that's to blame(IMHO) on our defensive secondary that is grossly young and inexperienced. Hopefully Chad can get a few on Revis. It's going to be interesting after the week of jawing at each other. I pick Ravens and Broncos for wild card slots.
BengalszoneBilly
We lost a lot of close games this year - I want to blame that on Madden and his curse on Troy. The Madden curse is too crazy. A player gets his picture on the face of a yearly video game, and BAM! He's either injured, or has a poor season. ArmyBengal
Woodley must not even realize how pathetic his comments are.I mean at what point in time during the season when it was IN THIER CONTROL, were they going to take care of business for themselves ??What a bitch... jjakq27
Yeah we all play the same schedule too. The only difference is that we played Houston and the Jets while Pittsburgh played Tennessee and Miami as the two AFC "positional" games. He was an integral part of the Steelers SB last year. He stripped Warner at the end of the SB last year. (I am posting because it is curious that you thought he was a backup) That being said congrats on winning the division you guys were the better team this year. That crap's been happening since 2000.
