alleycat
I'm never certain anyone can beat anyone, but the Browns just destroyed KC. I have no doubt that if their RB can break a team franchise record, Benson can gash the hell out of them. I am not gifted with psychic football foresight, but I absolutely feel confident. The Chargers have a very strong team and we had every chance to beat them. As long as we don't do something uniquely stupid like turn the ball over four times and commit 10 penalties, I have no reason to believe we'll lose.Erm, I don't know how to break this to you. But yeah, minimize the TOs and we should be golden.Ugh, God believe me I know. I was tearing my mustache out when the Bengals went from 1st and 10 to 1st and 25 in three consecutive plays. Watching Benson's fantastic run get called back on a holding made me want to slap JP until he turned right around and had that great catch. At least we aren't Ravens fans who believe the evil NFL masterminds are out to sink every season with a vast zebra conspiracy.I saw JP's block during the play live, and thought he flat out owned his man. When I saw it on reply, I'm not sure I've had my mind changed. He was pushing the guy flat in the chest (and body-slammed him in the process). Just because his arm was away from his body shouldn't automatically be a hold. I'm waiting to see a replay again...
walzav29
Anyone watch Smith in this game? I seen he was pass protecting on the Carson to Ocho bomb. Anyone pay close attention?
Stripes
Yes, we "can" beat Kansas City. St. Louis "can" beat Indianapolis. This is a silly question."Will" we? Yeah, I expect so. The Chiefs freaking suck, and we played decently well in San Diego.

Were playing at home against the 3-11 Chiefs AND playing to win the division. I reeeaally don't think we'll lose this game unless there is some kind of emotional let down from not winning the SD game following Henry's death. Stripes
The Bengals "can" lose this game too. Duh.Is that the most likely end? Doubtful.
volcom69
A couple things that bother me in this game. They always seem to play down to the other teams levels, and let them hang around all game.Coming off of Mike Zimmer wifes funeral they blew it against Houston (i know houston is a better team), but i dont know where there head will be in this game. However this is a very winnable game, and if they play like they did against the Chargers they should win, but please stop these stupid penalties, stop being stupid. I think this team is afraid to be good, stop shooting yourself!!!!!!
HoosierCat
They have NO pass game. They have a terrible Oline. Their defense is atrocious. And none of that will matter if the Bengals continue to beat themselves. Dumb penalties, turnovers, settling for FGs in the red zone, stupid playcalling...you know, everything we've seen all year.

Everything we've seen all year has gotten us into playoff contention after all.The Chiefs game worries me simply because every game in the NFL worries me. I haven't forgotten Oakland, after all. That said, there's no doubt that Cincy is the better team and SHOULD win this weekend. That's certainly where I'd put my money were I a betting man. Dumb penalties, turnovers, settling for FGs in the red zone, stupid playcalling...you know, everything we've seen all year. The Bengals are going to win this game with the defense alone. Even with Peko and Crocker out they have been looking solid, especially against SD. Shaun Smith really made a difference in the pass rush, it was nice to see.All we have to do is run the ball down their throats and keep them off balance with the play action. Guys, KC sucks. I'd be worried more if it were at KC, but it's at home for the division.Instead of feeling nervous and scared maybe we should try and get excited that we can win the division for the 2nd time in 15 years. This is the situation this team is in. It's a good team and this has been a fun year.Let's kick their a**.

kingwilly
Yeah, I see where this is going. The whole epic meltdown of all time situation as the Bengals lose their last games and finish out of the playoffs after sweeping the division.I just don't see it happening. The Chiefs are an absolute mess as someone else already pointing out. I don't see this being a real flashy game, rather a blunt force trauma type of smashmouth taken out on the Chiefs with LJ doing what Benson did against the Bears. Well, it may be more Benson, but you get my point.I think the Bengals win by a couple of TD's and heavily control the clock.Lets call it:Bengals 24Chiefs 10I call itBengals - 27Chiefs - 6One more FG for us, and a FG instead of a TD for them. Kazkal
I think Marvin will let LJ use up all his pent up aggression on the Chiefs. The defense has been giving up yards the last two weeks on RB and TE screens. KC doesn't have the tools to accomplish this. The Funny thing is they had those toools too but got rid of them both this year. The Chiefs game worries me simply because every game in the NFL worries me. I haven't forgotten Oakland, after all. That said, there's no doubt that Cincy is the better team and SHOULD win this weekend. That's certainly where I'd put my money were I a betting man.Agreed any given Sunday but Oakland has been no Slouch this year they've beat Eagles,Steelers,Bengals & Broncos thats pretty damn impressive for Oakland...Though 99 times out of 100 we win that game everything that could go wrong went wrong no way a team that gives up 200 yards rushing should win >_< but 4 Costly Fumbles at the worst times = loss. BengalPimp
I'm thinking blow-out, and i see Benson sitting the entire 2nd half, and huge doses of Larry Johnson vs his former team. Really, our secondary can more than handle their WR's, and our run D wil more than handle Jamaal Charles. I see something along the lines of 31-13. semiotter
Ho Ho Ho!!! This is Santa Semi saying all you good little "Bengals" fans will get a late Christmas present this Sunday at PBS.... Ho Ho Ho!!!

The local fluff writers don't give us much insight, and Lance's Monday Bengals Line Show is nothing but pure fluff talking about personal things with irrelevant players, absolutely mind-numblingly boring. With the exception of the Bears, Texans and Vikings games, all of the others could have gone the opposite way. We could be sitting here talking about a coaching change, etc. However, this season we have been able to win games we might have lost in the past. Other than the Colts or Saints, I don't really see anyone else in the league dominating anyone either so I am OK with how we got here. I know we've all had our share of disappointments around here before but I would like to focus on the positives and look forward to a division championship and a home playoff game in three weeks. So, who's with me.... let's go.....WHO DEY! jjakq27
They are never going to get someone like Chad or Carson to show up so I guess they making do with the lowere tier players. I do agree that the Lap and Trump discussions on Wednesday are much more informative since there are no players there to deal with.
