Redskins fan here.

Just wanted to stop by and offer my condolences. This hits close to home for a lot of us as we just 2 years ago we lost Sean Taylor.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Henry's family as well as the Bengals organization and fan base.

You guys have had a great year, hopefully you can do some damage in the playoffs for Chris Henry.

RIP.

I always used to be angry at the guy for not making the most of his talents. He had such potential and now that will never be realised, not in a football sense, but a much more important aspect - as a father and a husband.

Crying shame. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. Such a strong feeling of sadness for a man I never knew personally. Echoes of sadness for those I have cared for and lost.

RIP Slim.

Hearing about deaths is always rough, but for whatever reason, this is really, really getting to me. Not because I'm a fan of the team, but just in general, everything about this pointed to him really turning his life around.

Rest In Peace Slim.

On behalf of myself and Browns 24/7 nation - condolences to Chris Henry, his immediate family, his extended family, and the Bengals. So, so sad to see a 26 year old young man lose his life. Sure he had his struggles during his lifetime, but who walking among us hasn't? I will pray for all who were part of his life, especially his fiancee and those three sweetheart kids.

Me as well. It's just such a tragedy since apparently he got his life turned around and was a good father to his children.

Me, too. I was originally against bringing him back but he proved me and everyone else wrong. I was looking forward to him having a great career here now.

RIP Slim, you will be missed.

I was against bringing him back, but was very encouraged by all the pre-season reports about him on and off the field. I truly believe his hard work in the mini camps not only encouraged the spirit of the locker room, but motivated Chad to get his head back in the game. To me, he'll always be Mr. 'Jump ball in the corner of the endzone', as well as the other end of the 60-yard pass that Palmer threw when he blew his knee out in the playoff game of 2006.

With Mrs. Zimmer's passing and now this, this has certainly been a bizarre season for this team, success on the field with black clouds dangling everywhere.

Yep, one of the first plays I think about when I think of Slim. As to your last sentence - absolutely and a situation every Bengals fan would happily reverse in an instant if they could.

I woke up to the news this morning. I am truly saddened by this. "Uno Cinco" was my favorite player to watch outside of NY. I saw him live in Denver a few years ago and he torched Darrent Williams (may he continue to R.I.P) so bad that they assigned someone else to cover him with help over the top. I don't know what else to say. R.I.P Chris.
