Stripes
Quan muthaf**king Cosby?I wonder if Exacta was pleased with Quan's play at receiver today. I know I saw him targeted by a pass that fell incomplete. 0 for 1 is 0%. I say we crucify him upside down.
Pidge
That ought to be the matchup for the #4 seed. New England is sucking just enough to probably have the best chance at that, but even as the #3 the Bengals would play a mediocre team like Jacksonville, Miami, or Baltimore. If we don't get the bye, our chances of getting to the divisional round should still be decent.Good point. Just winning a playoff game would be huge for this franchise. I think we make the playoffs and win a game. Even with our, at times crippling, limitations on O.Please let us knock Balt out of the playoffs. walzav29
Not a bad idea about Simpson. I mean Slim hardly had anything thrown to him but he's a fast guy with height. I'm not saying actually throw to Jerome - that would give the game away - but the other team isn't to know he's a paddle-handed numbnuts. Just get him to run really fast in a straight line. It's just crazy enough to work!Thats what I'm saying. Run a straight line Jerome. The longest pass today must have been 12 yards. Ughhhhhh. 2nd guessing all week. WTF with the penalties? It's been like that since the 1st preseason game vs NO. I know where gonna win the divison, but I'm having a hard time seeing how pass yards will be generated if they quadruple team Chad and the other guys still can't get open. It would be a way of getting something going in the passing game, help widen the field a little for the guys on the outside and help give the running an added boost. Alas, both of ours go down before the first game. Never realised how much I'd miss Reggie. The one yr he might actually have had the ball thrown to him! volcom69
I dont care who they play in the playoffs but the way this offense is going, and the way they get penalties thrown on them all the time it wont matter. Man this team made me mad today
Kazkal
Don't fear success. Sure, we're no SB monster but eh, better than the majority of the teams in the AFC this yr. Jesus, spare a thought for those teams behind us.Not hitting the playoffs like a Force to be reckoned Worry not. The Force is strong in this one.True that Hooiser I still have Faith because of that man and why not giving up on idea theres still chance we could be Miami bound. kingwilly
I think these WR's are not being used properly. Caldwell gets open, Chad gets open, Coles has gotten open....It is raggety-ass, gimmick playcalling. Even the timing pass to the corner of the end zone to Chad. Poor call. That is a Henry route, called for Chad. They simply ask the WR's to run the plays, disregarding their calling plays that cater to each's strength.Where was one quick slant to Caldwell or Coles. Coles makes hay on a quick slant. As would Quan. Did it get called once? Nope.Chad's play is the intermediate out to the sideline, called today? nope? How about a play for Purify to make over the middle, where his size and jumping can be an advantage? nope.It is more playcalling than personnel. Losing Henry was a blow but the fact they cannot adjust tells me brat has no idea how to get the most out of the talent that is there to take snaps.Of all the factors, brat has the most influence over what is happening. it is on him. walzav29
Minn was humiliated last week, and the Bengals thought thet could just "turn it on" vs a good team. Good lesson with KC and the Jets coming up. The thing is though are Palmers numbers since Henry injury.178 vs Pitt207 vs Oak110 vs Clev220 vs Det94 vs MinnThis is alarming. The question is do we have the personel to change this? I'm all set with being a running team, but this is Tavarias Jackson stuff. Can't take that. How much different would the offense look though without the penalties?

ct_bengal
this game was alot closer than the score indicates. penalites need to stop. run d suffered without peko but we knew it would. i was pissed to see chester taylor gaining huge chunks of yardage. offense needs to get something going it is god awful. the only thing that looked good was benson. Still Palmer needs to make the passes and the WR need to get open and they cant. So who knows whats going on, but they better figure something out Palmer is not himself at all. kingwilly
Utecht would have had a Huge season...I believe.maybe but if the guy has a glass dome, his concussion would have happened at some point. They have so many very creative and effective running play options and formations, it is as if they simply forgot to work on the passing game.Get Freddie Brown or Simpson in there to stretch the field. Give Coles a sit-down.One thing missing in the loss and score was the extremely good play by Joseph and Hall, again.

HoosierCat
Of all the factors, brat has the most influence over what is happening. it is on him.Hard to disagree. FWIW, remember last year? It was at the tail end of the season that Brat finally figured out what plays worked to Fitz's strengths. Hopefully he has a similar epiphany this week. Kazkal
Utecht would have had a Huge season...I believe.Ya but guy couldn't stay healthy hence why he's jobless Tight End is inexpensive position and there's quite a few nice ones in next years free agency...I think thats the reason why they released him & Truthfully I don't mind JP Foschi either I just wish we had a TIght End not named Coats on the roster. wpeldios
I was very upset with todays performance, but some people need to calm down. We are 9-4, compared to 1-11-1 at this time last year. We just lost on the road against the #2 seed in the NFC, an 11-2 team who is undefeated in their own home. Its not the end of the world. We lose 1 game and we are on the verge of a monumental collapse? Its quite possible they lose next week again, I can't imagine what some people will be like if that happens. Now as for the actual game, I'm only gonna say a few things:1, they played like a team that was traveling on bus 90 minutes to and from practice during the week. This team needs a practice bubble in the worst way. This starts up top2, Out coached, this team was not prepared, and the offensive play calling was horrific. When you have huge dts, you get them chasing plays to wear them out early, the Bengals called 0 rushes to the outside. Need to atleast run a couple. Cedric Benson had more yards on less carries than Peterson, he was underused.3, The team just did not perform. Horrible performance, nothing more to be said on them.4, Hall and Joseph are hands down the best cb tandem in the game, and Trent isnt terrible in the nickel. Sidney Rice will be seeing Joseph in hes sleep for weeks.Top to bottom a poor performance, except the cbs. Move on, SD next week is a bigger game.
