Check out Lance's Blog for today. He has a nice selection of articles from all over. Too many for me to post so here's the link.

Interesting that Mike Florio does not have the game listed in the top 10 stories for the day....Hmmmm.

But here is his article about the game.

Bengals were third subject in on PTI.

Wilbon says the Bengals are near the top of the AFC, just behind Colts and Pats.

Kornheiser says he is stunned by the ascension, and is amazed by the defense. Says no reason to see them as anything but legit.

Logic from the great Kornholio...who would have guessed?

I'm watching the ESPN Monday Night Countdown. It's been all about how good Cincinnati is. Now here's the weird thing, everyone of these swinging dicks talking right now picked the Steelers to beat the Bengals yesterday.

This video makes me want to cry. In a good way, I mean.

And the best part is that the entire thing is about how good Cincy was, and not a word about how Pitt. just wasn't on their "A" game.

Great link. Thanks!

Remember all those years that the media wet themselves over how the Steelers and Ravens confused QBs with their different looks?

Zimmer is my hero after watching how confused Ben and especially their O-Line was.

I remember watching the game thinking that the Steelers O-Line wasn't very good. That video shows how often they looked silly because of the scheme Zimmer was running.

One of the other video's there has Faulk, Sapp and some other Muppets talking and with those two it's always about when we played the Bengals. Good lord when was the last time either of those asshats played?

skyline, thanks a ton for that link.

Everyone else, do yourselves a favor and watch that. Marvel at all of it, but linger for a moment on Quan Cosby's effort at the start and end of Scott's return for a TD. Cosby literally blocked three Steelers at the point at which Scott made his cut and still followed Scott down to the end to wipe out one last Steeler. Absolutely stunning work from Cosby in all respects.

I remember seeing that during the game as well. He gets a big block at the beginning, then keeps Gay from getting an angle on Scott, then peels back on another guy. Just amazing stuff. That's what undrafted rookies have to do to make NFL teams.

Chris Mortenson on Mike and Mike this morning talking about the LJ signing and them bringing in Galloway and Doss for a look see:

(paraphrasing)

"Johnson makes a ton of sense as an in-season signing for the Bengals because of his style of running and the way the Bengals like to run the ball. He gives them time to make sure that Benson is 100% healthy. As for looking at Galloway, given the Henry injury, he potentially fills a need should they decide to go that route.

Collectively, what those moves tell me is that the Bengals internally believe this isn't just a playoff team, but a team that can get to a Super Bowl..."

Which was fun to hear. Golic had no follow-up to that, by the way.

Didn't get a chance to hear it, but I'll concede your point about it being fun seeing the media heads trip over themselves.

The craziest thing about this story:

When's the last time the Bengals brought in someone to tryout for a backup position and it made headlines? I'm going to go with... never.

Galloway and Doss coming in for tryouts would never be mentioned anywhere but here. Now... Mike & Mike cover it? What's this world coming to?
