  1. 1. What is your reason for not being able to go to PBS to watch the first place Bengals?

    • I can't afford it, but would like to go
    • I can't afford it and I would rather watch on TV
    • I am living out of Cincinnati
    • I can afford to go but am not buying in quite yet, show me more

Now living in Baltimore, was in Memphis, either way, going to a game is a two day commitment, gas, hotel, food, and tix. Roughly a $500.00 - $750.00 investment, depending on if I bring anyone in the family with me. That's a little steep for me to bear right now, but I am mulling over whether I can swing it for the Baltimore game. Probably not, but I am giving it a look.

That's alot. You're 3/4 of your way to a good flat screen at Walmart for those costs.

I voted #1 but it didn't accurately reflect my stance. I can afford it but I choose not to because I don't think it's worth the money. I think the tickets are awfully pricey and it's not how I choose to spend my disposable income. Maybe I'm just tight...

None of my money

(except that taken as tax and then handed over to him via the agreement made by his favorite now-employee Bob Bedinghaus)

goes to Mike Brown

That has always been my mantra as well and it will continue until he builds a winner. The fact that they're in first place leads me to "consider" going but I haven't been tempted yet. My family has a friend who's trying to sell her $70 tickets but I felt it still wasn't worth it even though I could justify it since the money wouldn't go to Mike Brown

I'm out of town, but have managed to get home for a game the past couple years and am hoping for one this year as well. Maybe the Chiefs.

Anyway, I already have tickets for the Vikings game, so I will be there supporting them at that one.

When I retire from the Army and move back to Cincinnati next year, I will definitely make it down for multiple games each year. I don't think I will do season tickets, but at least a few games a season would be fun. I enjoy watching the game on the widescreen as well, but really enjoy being around the fans and getting the whole feel for the game.

When I was young, my dad always had season tickets and I was the one who went along with him each Sunday. When ArmyBengal Jr. gets old enough, I look forward to going to the games with him like I was able to do back then. Heck I was 10 when I went to the freezer bowl and Super Bowl XVI and wouldn't trade those memories for ANYTHING. It's simply so much more than just giving money to Mike Brown...

I'm a fan, what do you want ??

Son of a Genius was not running the show when those games took place.

There will be more memories to be had when Son of a Genius is finally blessedly (party on my block) gone.

True indeed TJ, my point is simple though. Back then, I couldn't have told you who the owner was or most anything else outside of just enjoying watching a football game at the stadium with my dad. THAT is what I'm hoping to share with my son. Although, he was born in Texas, so he might end up rooting for the Cowboys just to spite me !!! Good thing I have all these photos of him in Bengals gear since the day he was born !!!

I don't know why I care though. Even if those extremely arrogant bastards that worry so much about one freaking executive take their heads out of their butts and get to the stadium, they'll sit quietly on defensive third downs filing their damned nails. I love this fanbase.

I don't think we have the greatest fan base either but...Think back to the 80's. I remember 1988 when we went 10-0 at home and that place was rocking, impossible for the visiting team to win.

Those fans are still around but they may not be going to the games. IMHO, I think that alot of the "true" fans are staying at home because of what happened since MB took over. We are in a cycle as a fanbase...got crapped on for 12-13 years...the Bengals got good again...we got really excited and then we sucked again. It's like living with someone with bi-polar disorder. How are the fans supposed to react to this recent success?

If the Bengals can be consistently competitive, not once every 10-12 years, then I really believe the "true" fanbase will become more prevalent again. Give it time.

Pittsburh game was well worth the $$ spent.

Priceless actually.

Its expensive but ill remember that game for a long time. Mike Brown or not.

I wont be at the Baltimore game though. Good thing Browns get to stink up Monday night. Means Bengals/Ravens game on here.

Vote and discuss.

Well I can't see the choices on my Blackberry. But the reason I can't make a game is its been a rough year on my pocket. And I need the money in other places. Plus every game is on at my house when they play wich is really nice.

I was a season ticket holder from the time I was 13 until I was 24, loved every minute of it. That said before last season, I bought a house, thus extra bills. Bill spikes+same income=low on money. One of the first things I had to cut down on was my $1000 a year I spent on tickets/at games. Only been able to afford 1 game each of the past 2 seasons.

Just like to add, In the 11 years I had tickets, I never missed a game, Traveled alot and have seen 29 road games as of now, And I have never missed a game other than that on tv. So if you ever see me get defensive about not buying tickets/being at the game, its because I would absolutely love to be at every one if I could. Its just bothered me when fans badmouth me in any way for not being there.

I used to have season tickets cancelled them about four years ago, just too expensive. Now with big screen HD availible, I dont really miss going down anymore. I live 1 hour from PBS and am in the blackout area. Cheaper to stay home but I do miss cornhole with all the people at Longworth.

Speaking of blackouts why doesnt the NFL offer blacked out games on pay per view? Either on TV or online? I would pay $50.00 a game to watch a game that would be blacked out. I would think this will happen some day.
