markymark69
T.J. Thanks for your production here, but please move on. Get over it. Enjoy your big contract in Seattle. I do not care what you think.
Sea Ray
TJ had the following quote after yesterday's game (from the Seattle Times)"For whatever reason, we didn't move the ball at all," receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh said. "The exception [was] that one drive before halftime when Matt got injured."Gee TJ. That sounds like something you might have said while playing here. Maybe there's the problem that your QB who missed 9 games last year to a bad back decided to forgo sliding on a QB scramble and now it's being reported that he has a fractured rib. Not smart. He's lucky he didn't screw up his back again. There's also that thing about your LT had to come into the game in the 2nd qtr and he's had all of 14 days as a Seahawk. How 'bout your leading rusher, 5'8" RB Justin Forsett who battered the 49ers for 35 yards in 60 mins?Yeah, TJ. Your problems are over. All you had to do was leave Cincinnati...
SupaBran
"...we got out with the "W" and Cincinnati lost. Perfect day!"Hard to believe that there were people that wanted this guy to be Franchised. Good riddance and enjoy your 3-13 season in The Most Depressed City in America, Touraj. Was it that bad TJ? If it weren't for the Bengals you would have gone undrafted back in 2001. Immature quote from a guy who has made a habit of coming off as an arrogant baby. Didn't he also say something like "I didn't score but we won so it's a good day!"No s**t, a**hole. It should be an obviously good day when your team wins 28-0. Me, me, me...I, I, I. You're never going to win jacks**t, TJ.If I remember correctly, TJ was about 1 player away from getting the axe in 2003 during Marvin's first training camp. One of the people near us at PBS used to call him TJ housh-man-dropum for the muffed punts and kickoff fumbles that he had early in his career. In '03 he was injured but Marvin gave him a chance. Marvin also went to bat for him a few years later when the Bengals re-signed him. I think overall the team was pretty good to him. I give him credit in being one of the tough guys during 2005 to help get the team over the hump and into the playoffs. I was thankful for his efforts. But his refusal to participate in the spring stuff was very disappointing. He isn't the only guy with a family on that team. I think that standoffishness affected the mood of the team and Chad as well. However, I did pick up on a few comments by Marvin during camp about the quality of person that they were able to bring in and some of the negative influences that they were able to get rid of. I take one of those to be TJ. DIck Vermeil said in 1999 that the key to his success of rebuilding the Rams into contenders and eventually Super Bowl champs was to get rid of the bitchers. I think TJ was one of those guys for us. He benefited greatly from this offense and this franchise and he should be at peace on the west coast now with his big contract, etc. So see ya.Awesome post! HoosierCat
Funny thing occurred to me today: TJ leaves and the Bengals are suddenly healthy (knock on wood!) while in Seattle 'Hags are dropping like flies.Maybe TJ took the injury curse with him? HairOnFire
Sorry to hear about your Dad Hair. I certainly understand with the passing of my brother last year and next week will be 9 years since my Mom passed. The people here on this board were great and I just wanted to make sure you knew we were thinking about you. Many thanks to all for the kind words, and a special thank you to those of you who have accepted my invitation to use this occasion to call me a prick or a**h***. Oddly enough, I can almost feel the healing begin. Now get caught up on what's going on you assh*le !!! Well, to be perfectly fair all I'm missing out on is all of the details. However, I think I've got the big picture stuff down well enough. (Victory. Glory. Championship. Who-Dey.) And with the above formalities out of the way let's bring this one full circle. f**k TJ. This from head coach Jim Mora Jr:WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh: He won’t practice today to rest his sore back, but he is expected to play Sunday./>http://blog.seahawks.com/Me thinks I see a pattern developing here and I think a certain head coach in Cincinnati chuckles everytime he reads this... membengal
I know I am finding it knee-slapping funny. Good luck getting the team to buy into "working hard" to the Seahawks coaching staff with TJ pulling that s**te again...

Like you, I am enjoying watching this unfold.

BengalPimp
That was kind of a douchebag move, slamming the Bengals. I will say that back when I knew him (roughly '98-'02-ish) he was a cool guy. Originally met him through one of my closest friends, but he would talk s*it like anyone else, but if you were cool with him, everything was good. True Story...and kinda funny.....Way back after his rookie year, he just bought a home in Chino Hills, Ca. I told him to go see a buddy of mine who used to sell high end electronics at an appliance/electronics retailer (will not mention name, but southern california based company) he ends up going in on a day my buddy was off. Another salesperson (who didnt know who he was) ended up selling him 2 large TV's. He paid with a check. AND THEY WOULDNT DELIVER THE TV's UNTIL HIS CHECK CLEARED!!!!!!!!TJ was pissed, and told me he had to actually go back into the store with something from his bank stating that the check cleared, and when he went in that time, saw my buddy, and explained the story to him....My buddy worked on commission, so in his head, he was like "thats what you get for not buying it from me dumba$$". Anyways, the few times I saw him after that, he made it a point to rub my face in that(thanks for sending me there, etc.).He was a cool guy back in the day (when nobody knew who he was), but people change with "fame" or their perception of how famous they are.P.S. Dont want to say that store stereotyped him or anything, but apparently he was wearing all black, with a big gold chain, ponytail-braid, and big diamond earrings.just sayin'
HairOnFire
I caught "Inside the NFL" last night and the Seahawk recap only shows one sequence featuring TJ, a nice slow motion bit where the defender drives into Housh's back at the precise moment the ball meets his hands. A frame or two later the ball falls harmlessly to the ground. I hope he was watching.
HoosierCat
Lance Briggs gets it...Houshmandzadeh keeps chirping about ChicagoPosted by Mike Florio on September 25, 2009 7:45 AM ETWhen receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh played in Cincinnati, he didn't have much to say. Possibly because receiver Chad Ochocinco never let T.J. get a word in.But Houshmandzadeh apparently was taking notes. Because he's now trying his best to imitate Ochocinco. Most recently, T.J. proclaimed that he'll have his way with Chicago's cornerbacks."I feel like I'm going to get open every play, every time," Houshmandzadeh said. "But that's not going to be the case. Those guys get paid well. I feel I'm going to win regardless, but I have to be realistic. I feel I'm going to win 95 percent of the time and they can get the other 5."Houshmandzadeh also has spent time this week vowing to prove that Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo screwed the pooch by not pursuing T.J. in free agency. To date, no one from the Bears has taken the bait. But linebacker Lance Briggs has come the closest."He sounds like a bitter guy," Briggs said. "Maybe he wanted to play in Chicago. If he's going to show what he's going to do on Sunday, I'll tell you what: 'So are we, so am I.'"In two Sundays with the Seahawks, T.J. has yet to fully show what he can do. He's averaging five catches for 55 yards. And that projects to 80 receptions for 880 yards over the course of a full season. So maybe T.J. was right about his Madden rating. Maybe the folks at EA got it wrong.Maybe that 91 was way too high.

Stripes
I'm normally the one saying that, but I definitely think that is a sketchy statement from TJ in the last paragraph since it looks probable that Hasselbeck won't play.
