HoosierCat
Eh, throwaway comment. Who knows what went on behind closed doors but for his playing ability I'd still be happy if he was here - although it wouldn't alter our chances on the field hugely. Pro athlete has big ego and limited sense of perspective shocker. He'll get his catches if Hassleback stays healthy. He's a good fit for the WCO. As it is, he has a chance of making it to the playoffs again so good luck to him. These guys have short enough careers, I hope they enjoy it.Well from what I could tell from his Comments seems like hes pissed he was extended before his contract ran up... so he had wait until he was 32 to get his first major deal.I hope he has fun proving at best he's a 2# and I noticed Seahawks putting him in the slot quite abit....Our resident a**h***OnFire had it right after the whole free agent debacle: TJ had decided years before that he'd been screwed by the Bengals, and no amount of money from Mikey was going to change his mind. Now it's all about justifying that...well, hey, week 1 went his way. Long season to go, tho.
gregstephens
Hair, I'm deeply sorry about your father. I think I speak for everyone when I say the Brotherhood is here for you. I know we may disagree on this one, but I'll put your family in my prayers. Now, as far as business goes, just return to being the obnoxious pr*** you've always been. It's not so much being slow or anything but unless it's broken coverage, no way he can the separation needed for deep passes to be thrown safely. So yeah, #2 he shall remain.Anyways, not that bothered by his comments because I never get emotionally attached to any of the preening millionaire professionals. Do a good job whilst wearing the Bengals uni and taking a paycheck and I really couldn't give a good ***damn what they say or do. I care even less when they're no longer here. jonahdsage
Saw that hasselbeck got hurt and was taken to a hospital. Wonder if TJ is liking the idea of a backup QB throwing him 5 yarders.
membengal
Indeed, a special "f**k you" shout out to TJ today. Senor Fragile, his new qb, out with a bad back and their ass kicked by the 49ers. Oh, and a Bengals win due in large part to stellar work from TJ's replacements in Coles and Caldwell. f**k you, TJ. One of my favorite words. As for the subject at hand, All I can do is smile after this. TJ has not handled this very classy at all, and I hope the seahawks win no more than 5 games. SupaBran
4 catches no TDs - checkSeattle loses 23-10 - checkBengals win - checkNice, I love it! I never really like TJ, I always thought he was the bad influence friend that you just don’t want a good kid at heart in Chad Johnson to hang out with! TJ is a dick and will be amongst the hated former Bengals! I will, for the rest of his career hate and cheer against him and his team to be horrible like he was until the last 2 years he played for us! cHaD711Johnson
I hope that TJ is having fun playing with Seneca Wallace, since Hassleback is injured as usual. Seattle can't even win the NFC west for crying out loud. That's the worst division in football. Good riddance to your attitude TJ. Especially towards the team that gave you a shot in the league. jjakq27
"...we got out with the "W" and Cincinnati lost. Perfect day!"Hard to believe that there were people that wanted this guy to be Franchised. Good riddance and enjoy your 3-13 season in The Most Depressed City in America, Touraj. Was it that bad TJ? If it weren't for the Bengals you would have gone undrafted back in 2001. Immature quote from a guy who has made a habit of coming off as an arrogant baby. Didn't he also say something like "I didn't score but we won so it's a good day!"No s**t, a**hole. It should be an obviously good day when your team wins 28-0. Me, me, me...I, I, I. You're never going to win jacks**t, TJ.If I remember correctly, TJ was about 1 player away from getting the axe in 2003 during Marvin's first training camp. One of the people near us at PBS used to call him TJ housh-man-dropum for the muffed punts and kickoff fumbles that he had early in his career. In '03 he was injured but Marvin gave him a chance. Marvin also went to bat for him a few years later when the Bengals re-signed him. I think overall the team was pretty good to him. I give him credit in being one of the tough guys during 2005 to help get the team over the hump and into the playoffs. I was thankful for his efforts. But his refusal to participate in the spring stuff was very disappointing. He isn't the only guy with a family on that team. I think that standoffishness affected the mood of the team and Chad as well. However, I did pick up on a few comments by Marvin during camp about the quality of person that they were able to bring in and some of the negative influences that they were able to get rid of. I take one of those to be TJ. DIck Vermeil said in 1999 that the key to his success of rebuilding the Rams into contenders and eventually Super Bowl champs was to get rid of the bitchers. I think TJ was one of those guys for us. He benefited greatly from this offense and this franchise and he should be at peace on the west coast now with his big contract, etc. So see ya.
