Anybody else wanna see him start one nfl preseason game at RT instead of Collins. Im not saying collins is horrible, but this Roland guy is fun to watch especially in run blocking. Hes a huge guy, and i really think this guy could be a starter at some point. I just really liked watching him last night, and thought i would see if anyone wanted to see him get a shot at all, in the starting line-up

Roland was the reason our running game improved off the right side at the end of last season and I like what we've seen of him to this point.

I hope he continues to get reps and improves. If nothing else, he definitely helps the o-line depth !!!

I pimped him since he got those starts. Guys is solid and can move for a big guy. He is big but not fat.

If he can get his footwork down, he could anchor the right side if Collins struggles.

I think Whit is the guy for the left, unless ASmith comes in and just stuns everyone (not likely). As for LG, I have had a hard time seeing just how well Livings has played but no news is good news?

I am becoming less concerned about the O-line with the depth we have and the rate they are improving.

Yup. I would say that on a scale of 1 to 10, my concern about the o-line now rates about a 2.

I'm far more concerned about Palmer getting a chance to shake off the rust and the lack of a decent No. 3 corner.

gotta watch the game again tomorrow and see how Trent and the others fared. they seemingly had a better game becuase there was consistent pressure up front which masks errors and blown coverages.

I think Palmer will be fine. Again, less concerned about him with JT doing a Tom Brady imepersonation. Palmer will tune it up with good hands and effort from 85, 15, 11, 87 and 89.

The O-line also showed their run blocking schemes to be sharp and driving. Getting the RB's sprung will also open it up for Palmer.

Gonna be a bright, bright, bright sunshiney day.

Pass protection from the o-line hasbeen adequate. My concerns are 1) nickle corner, and 2) the running game. The TE situation, FB situation, and RT situation all leave something to be desired for a consistent and effective running game. We'll have to see how it plays out.

Signing Andre Smith, a better CB and a veteran TE are all pretty necessary moves starting yesterday.

^_^ Damn. I got to give it up to Willie for posting the first ever Johnny Nash song reference here at Bengalszone!

I only pay attention to the O-line while the first team is in during the last two games and Livings has definitely been the weak spot on the line (other than the tight end blocking). He seems to struggle a little run blocking, and they have this certain pass protection he struggles with. The protection is some weird zone blocking call for a pass play where he pulls to the other side of the right tackle and either takes on the defensive end from an angle or picks up the blitz. If I remember right, it was that play that resulted in Charles Grant hitting Palmer in the ankles and there was a play with the exact blocking scheme in the New England game where he completely missed picking up the blitz.

Bottom line, Livings seems like a mediocre run blocker but a fairly good pass blocker with the exception of that one blocking scheme.
