Kazkal
Chiefs signed C Eric Ghiaciuc, formerly of the Bengals. It's amazing that Ghiaciuc lasted nearly three years as the Bengals' starting center considering his deficiencies in pass protection. Ghiaciuc will likely compete with incumbent Rudy Niswanger for the starting center job.Wow....

COB
The safeties in the AFC West better be very careful. They could easily sprain an ankle as they run over Trampled-Check's horizontal frame on their way to the quarterback.
gregstephens
Defensive lines all over the NFL are now drooling all over themselves. What do you suppose Matt Cassell is thinking right about...NOW!!!
ArmyBengal
We play the Chiefs again this year if I remember correctly. Here's to Sims, Peko, and Tank running over his sorry ass all day long !!!

Pidge
The safeties in the AFC West better be very careful. They could easily sprain an ankle as they run over Trampled-Check's horizontal frame on their way to the quarterback. Quite possibly the most pathetic thing about all of last season (including the Chad draaaaa-maaa) was watching his fat ass get steam rolled by a safety weighing close to a 100 lbs less than him. I snorted.

gregstephens
i must've missed that... which game, if i may ask?You would be better off asking which game that DIDN'T happen in.Seriously, I don't know about 200 lb safeties, as they tend to hit the ends of the line, not the middle, but I can't think of one game where the opposing line and linebackers didn't dominate him like a girl. COB
I know the exact play Pidge is talking about. Teams were scheming blitzes right onto Trampled-Checks nose. In this instance the safety came up, took four steps after the ball was snapped, and flattened him. Unbelievable to me that a center can get pancaked off a four step rush by a DB. ArmyBengal
On a side note:I've got a buddy of mine that is a Chiefs fan and before I had the chance to shoot him an email to tell him Cassel is going to get killed this year, he sent me one first trying to tell me how good Girlcheck was. I simply told him, that's why people make fun of Chiefs fans...On another side note:I had an applicant joining the Army yesterday and didn't give much thought to his name until after we started talking about football when he saw my office full of Bengals stuff. Anyway, his father is Rex Ryan, the Jets head coach. I thought to myself, "good for him" !!!

I wonder if that young man spent any time here in town back then?
