If winning is the most important thing...

...fire everyone named Brown or Blackburn.

...hire a GM.

...hire a personnel guy.

...hire half a dozen full-time scouts.

...fire the entire coaching staff except for Zimmer and FitzGerald.

...give Bill Cowher whatever insane sum of money he wants.

Think Marty would be interested in a tuna type job?

That about sums it up.

...Then we need to root for another team...

No winning isn't the most important thing, its the second thing. Making money is the most important thing.

That is going to be increasingly tricky for Mike Brown as next year rolls around. If the Bengals get the 1st pick of the draft, that is one huge contract to absorb. I don't see them doing it without shedding contracts in 2009. I think they'll unload TJ, Chad, Levi, Thornton,Chris Perry, Bobbie Williams, Stacy all to absorb that one new guy. Nobody will get franchised. I think its a given that season ticket sales will drop considerably, especially among corporations that are getting reamed right now.

The last thing he'll do is increase his expenses by hiring a bunch of scouts, coaches and redo his organization into a GM type. He'll have to fire Marvin if the team goes 0-16 or even 1-15, I don't think Goodell will stand for that much status quo, forget what the fans and media say. Brown will make the NFL look ridiculous and I don't think Goodell will let him slide. Paying Marvin off while hiring a new coach and staff is about the best we can look for.

In my curent, anger, rage filled state of mind...

Let this team move to where ever they want and wait for another team to come, because as long as Mike Brown is the owner, winning will NEVER be the most important thing...

I just can't help it Greg, I hate the guy !!!

Careful what you wish for. I don't think it would be all that easy to move MB out of town due to that stadium deal, but I don't know for a fact. If the Bengals do leave, it will be decades or never before another team comes in. At least you have team.

Im really not wishing they would leave, only that Mike Brown leaves as owner. Honestly though, I think Cincinnati would most definitely get another team. Look at what us fans have endured through the years and still have made Cincinnati a great place for a franchise to be. The Bengals are a VERY profitable team as any other team would be that came here.

You can't tell me if the Bengals left and 5 years later when we got another team that they wouldn't be supported. New owner and football back in Cincinnati after that time ?? The City would EXPLODE in support...

That being said, I love my Bengals and will continue to root for them regardless of the fact that they are the laughingstock of the league and define the word sh*tastic !!!
