Horsemen Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I'm with the majority, MB won't be getting any of my money anymore, and limited time of mine to waste. Quote
Stripes Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I'll continue to purchase tickets. If there's one thing that's sure to make a team fail, it's an indifferent fanbase that can't offer homefield advantage. MIKE B, is that you?? MIKE B, how many times have I told you?! It's unethical to steal people's nickname and post propaganda in the forum!! Now - don't let it happen again!!Spare me the nonsense. A stadium filled with passionate fans is more likely to witness a win than a stadium at 80% capacity whose fans are sarcastic pricks that BOO loudly at the first sign of trouble. The Bengals habitually struggle with adversity. So do their fans. Quote
Ickey44 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 So you're saying we should cheer when they suck? Quote

So do their fans.Of course we struggle with adversity, we've been dealing with a team being passed off as an NFL football team for to many years now. Oh yeah, a winner once every 15 years isn't going to cut it. This organization SUCKS !!! I've been following them since the early 70's, so hardly bandwagonish and I will continue to follow them and root for them. Once again, all I'm saying is, I CAN DO THAT WITHOUT PUTTING MONEY INTO THE BENGALS ORGANIZATION directly... Quote

So do their fans. You're serious? A stadium filled with passionate fans is only as likely to witness a win as the team is good and this team is not. I cannot stress this fact to you enough. This Bengals team is terrible--coached, played, et cetera. Geez, guess what? Fans have a right to boo when the team sucks. Good thing this team isn't in Philly. Boy they must be horrible fans.Am I a sarcastic prick that boos loudly at the first sign of trouble? Yeah, I guess I am. These guys make friggin millions of bucks. Play like professionals and quit blaming us prick fans. Quote
HAPPYJAQ Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Until we get a proven NFL GM, the Bengals will be in perpetual rebuilding mode, pacified by the occassional great individual season/player (see Green, Pickens, Mack, Ambrose, Dillon, Spikes, R. Johnson, C. Johnson, James, O'Neal, Houshmandzadeh, Anderson and Palmer.....and this is since '92) Quote

Mike believes he can do what his father did as far as being owner/GM. He's basically one old dog who refuses to learn a new trick. Quote
agreen_112 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 The Bengals are still a bad organization and we still have horrible fans.. SoP is probably the worst owner as far as winning goes. On some levels, he may be the smartest too. I think we'll be fine. It's gonna be a few years guys so just relax and enjoy the ride. At the end of the day, it's just a game.Bad organization I will give you - pretty obvious - but horrible fans? Huh?? How in the world do you figure? If anything Bengals fans are OVERLY loyal and OVERLY forgiving.I think he figured himself into the equation.Loyal fans? Where were they up until 2005? Shoot, the stadium was filled with more fans from other teams for the longest time. At 2005, when we were winning, everyone and their mom was there "as a fan." As soon as we hit a road block, they're bailing out again. Your right damian, that's loyalty. Quote

During there worst year for attendance the Bengals still got an average of 75%. For a small market team during a bad stretch this seems pretty darn good to me...I'd say we should feel proud and MB should feel pretty lucky. Quote

ShulaSteakhouse Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I guess if you're passionate about losing you can still go to the stadium and scream all you want."Good" teams are influenced by a loud stadium against other good teams. Bad teams are just bad teams run by a bad owner.Mike Brown is an absolute moron who was given everything he owns and has. I don't have any respect for him at all. Quote
