Agreed. I've followed Young very closely the past two seasons. I've been a very vocal critic. He doesn't make good decisions, he tries too hard to make the big play, his running ability (highly touted in college) isn't that exceptional in the NFL compared to a younger McNabb or Vick. Statistically, when Collins has played due to Young's oft-injuries, his yards, ratings and tds are higher than Young's. It's a no-brainer to me. I'd rather face Young.

The last bit of optimist in me notes that Cincy beat Baltimore in the season-opener last year, and then had the entire rest of the first half go kablooey, starting with the Browns offense supernova in week 2 in Cleveland.

Maybe they respond to the loss to Baltimore by playing focused and angry starting next week against Tennessee and save their first half this time around.

Or, not.

Probably not.

Collins on several cycles of HGH isn't a better QB than Vince Young! VY is 100x's better than Kerry "I play like I drink (wrecklessly)" Collins.

Sure, he's an old slow drunk. Still a better QB than VY. VY is Joey Harrington mk II. Probably a bit harsh. VY can at least get away from the rush sometimes and doesn't just stand there waiting to get crushed. But apart from that - pretty similar, imo. Others agree with me so nyah.

Did you watch that game yesterday? It's like someone said...we made Joe Flacco look like Shane Falco. It was Flacco's first game...ever. An experienced vet like Collins does have the potential to pick us apart. That's merely a statement of fact.

At least there's only one of YOU spouting playoff predictions for a team who can't protect their QB for 2 seconds and WR's that decide that they don't need any sort of training camp. Why don't you take notice of this really neat thing called REALITY? Those of us living in it actually see what's happening and can make an educated guess for things to come. I'll gladly stake my 6-10 season prediction against your playoff prediction at the end of the season to see who's closer.

If you saw the Steelers game yesterday, it pretty much dashed any hopes this team had of winning the division anyhow. They're on top of their game and unless Awfulburger gets hurt, they own the division.
