love carson, but I still want to see improvement. He does have the tendency to contribute to stalled drives trying to throw the ball deep too often. A running game will help with this though.

No one is safe on this team from criticism.

It's not as much about bashing than it is about observation...Carson is relying too much on the athleticism of his Wide outs and not enough on making smart throws.

It's either that or he takes a sack. He has no time to survey the field 4 out of 5 times.

Stacy Andrews got schooled and Palmer is sacked for a big loss on 3rd down. This o-line looks absolutely freakin terrible, just like last year, screws up the whole offense.

The Bengals continue to get no pash rush, with Orlovsky now in at QB for the Lions. Marvin White missed an easy interception and third and long continues to be a problem, as the Lions convert when the Bengals blitz. Nice sack and forced fumble (recovered by Lions) by Blackstock, who looks extremely fast off the edge in blowing by the Lions veteran LT. Missed FG; still down by a TD, 7-0.

The 1st team o-line has been in there for a while now, they are a concern, they are obviously playing extended time to try and get it together.

Rivers and White continue to look good.

Bengals are completely out of sync on offense. Dropped pass by Coats should have been returned by DET for a TD. Even the special teams looks bad. This is about as bad as I've seen the Bengals on both sides of the ball in a while.....although it's preseason.

The Bengals finally are looking better on D. Blackstock continues to look very fast on D, with a nice back-side pursuit tackle. D.Jones with a nice breakup on the series. Harris downs another punt inside the 5. Wish he could have done that consistently with us.

Joseph has looked good besides getting thrown down by Calvin. I don't think any CB would have done much better on that play. They are playing one on one and are doing a decent job. David Jones looks pretty good but Leon gives way to big of a cushion. Dexter will lose his spot before too long.
