Spor_tees Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Perry looks like a beast. love the guy. can't believe all of you with little faith in the guy.our D still looks like s**t. can't tackle for s**t.Preseason my boy...preseason...If preseason really mattered, then Dede Dorsey would be an all pro the last 2 years. 2 years ago Dede I believe led the NFL in rushing in the preseason... volcom69 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Love how perry looks hope he stays healthy and runs like that all year ill take it. Can our Def please tackle i hate seeing that. Quote
jjakq27 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Perry looks like a beast. love the guy. can't believe all of you with little faith in the guy.I was one of the guilty. I hope he keeps serving me up huge plate of crow.If he's healthy like he was in 2005, he might help Carson become an elite QB again I am actually happy for him. He gets very little credit for all of the hard work and quite demeanor he displayed over the last year-and-a-half. Guys like Odell and Henry should have taken notice. Quote
Ox Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I think that's the hardest I've seen chris perry run since he wore a Michigan jersey. I hope he can stay that motivated and remain healthy the whole season. Crazier things have happend, right?Let's hope so brother! Quote
jditty47 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Perry proved what he can do healthy 2 yrs ago. Hes been injured ALOT we all know this. It aint his fault for getting injured. When he is healthy he's very good. I dont give a s**t about preseason or what hes doing really besides breaking tackles, taking hits to his legs and getting up from it. if he's healthy count on 50/50 catches/rushes and 5-8 touchdowns. Our D even the 2nd string can't tackle so far. so many missed tackles on the RB's. Quote
HAPPYJAQ Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Marvin White looks TERRIBLE. He is missing tackles everywhere. Let's see Lynch/Hebert. I think outside of him and David Jones, the defense looks pretty good. 2 INTs and 2 sacks so far. Quote
derekshank Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 No one questions his ability as a pass catcher. The question has always been his ability to run between the tackles like a real NFL QB. I'm happy I saw him running hard today. Seems like he's got a chip on his shoulder. I'll take it - if he can stay healthy. I'm not drinking any kool-aid yet - but in that one run, I was a little impressed. Quote
jditty47 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 ya and Perry does his job, doesnt bitch about his injury, stays out of trouble, and just performs no matter WHEN he hits the field since hes been signed. WTF do you have an issue with? Quote

Even in 2005 when he was healthy he only scored 2 with about 600 total yardsBTW he has ZERO rushing TDs in his career...that is why I made a joke about his rushing TD in this game Quote
HAPPYJAQ Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 We might need another 4th CB. Jones is getting torched! Quote

WTF do you have an issue with?Production my brother.... My issue is production. I don't care if he bitches or not, because he doesn't contribute. If that changes... good. But don't get mad at me because I'm unsatisfied with a 1st round pick that in 4 seasons has under 800 yards from scrimmage. Quote

Spor_tees Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 How annoying that Rivers has been in the game and just made a good tackle for a loss and they haven't mentioned his name ONCE! Man I hate listening to Bengals games on Nationally televised games, they talk about the other team the whole game unless they want to make fun of the Bengals. Quote

The only successful running up the middle I can remember are a couple of big Draw plays against the Colts in 05. I think his reaction on the sideline after the play says allot too. If Perry feels like he has something to prove we might be looking at the best RB on our roster. It's just one run though. We'll see where it goes from here. Quote
derekshank Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I think Marvin White heard HAPPYJAQ's comment. That was a beast of a hit. He's been hitting people hard all night actually - he just needs to wrap up. Quote

jjakq27 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I'll take Perry for 50+ catches like 2005. That will loosen things up for Chad and TJ. Quote
volcom69 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Yea but Marvin White can hit he just needs to learn how wrap tackle but man can he hit. I just hope this its not a big deal to go back to tackling practice likes its been other years. Quote

I simply talked about production even when he was healthy. Quote

Klinger - Terrible first round pickCarter - terrible first round pick, same amount of injuries, but when he hit the field no production.Perry Produces when he hits the field. EVERYTIME. Quote
