combatbengal
Time to play football and # 85 is back in stripes and ready to play. Check out this interview.http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d...campaign=ec0009Whether he has a choice to be here or not, I just hope we get the old Chad back this year. Talk his talk and walk his walk. Catch the ball, make yards, and score TD's. He says he's happy. He loves the city, loves the fans and now wants to be a Bengal! Can you put the off season behind us and move on? Win games. The year that we went to the big show, we were undeafeated at home. Can we do it again? I sure hope so. ArmyBengal
I call bullsh*t... The only thing that is happening here is, Chad's playing the hand he was dealt and nothing more. I no more think Chad is happy being in Cincinnati, than I think I'm bulletproof. What else is Chad going to say other than how much he still loves Cincinnati ?? He knew the only thing he could do was actually sit out and lose money and we know that wasn't going to happen...I recently saw another interview where Chad said, "If it ain't no 85, there ain't no 9". He also flipped that saying around, but the way I see it is. If there is no Chad, Carson is still a top 5 QB in the league. If there is no 9 throwing the ball to Chad, he's no longer a pro bowl QB. Anyone think Chad is going to the pro bowl if Jason Campbell is throwing him the ball in Washington ?? I didn't think so !!!Anyway, Chad is an asswipe, but I'm hoping he has another big year for a couple of reasons. #1. Him having a big year will help the Bengals.#2. Him having a big year will keep his value up in order for us to trade him next year and better absorb the cap hit.Anyone think we WON'T be having this same conversation at the end of the season if we don't win the Super Bowl ??WHODEY !!! combatbengal
I agreet's all about money. He said that it's about winning but he knows that it's about the money. Carson doesn't need Chad to be a great QB. He has other assets to throw to.
BengalByTheBay
Here's my take. If you can't believe him when he says things you don't like -- you can't believe him when he says things you do like.

ArmyBengal
In that interview with another asswipe in Stephen Jackson, Chad was asked if he "wanted" to be in Cincinnati. Chad said yes, but the problem is, he followed that with, "I ain't got no choice"... Everything after that comment equals somewhere around, "Blah blah blah, I'm a dirty whore"... I still have three words for all of this.F*CK YOU CHAD !!!WHODEY !!!

He now know's that the Bengals aren't going to put up with his crap. The coaches aren't going to put up with it either (I hope they don't). The other players said that he won't be a distraction. So, let's just go out and win games.
fattyjay
Bottom line is if it was about winning he would still be holding out and not attending any team functions. If it was about winning he wouldn't care about missing a few grand in fines either.

HAPPYJAQ
I hope he has a career year this year and helps the Bengals to the playoffs.....so his trade value is at an all-time high next draft. At the same time, I wonder how many Chad-bashers will bash him (like myself) when he has one of his patented 200-yard, 2-3 TD games.
ArmyBengal
I will continue to root for Chad to have big games and will be happy when he does. Why ?? Because it will help the TEAM !!! Anything Chad does that helps the Bengals win is good by me. I can't root for any of our players to perform poorly. That's just stupid. I compare it to Green Bay fans. Some of them are truly Green Bay TEAM fans, but many more are nothing more than Brett Favre fans that will probably not even follow the team this season.Yes, I'll be rooting for Chad, but that doesn't make him NOT a douchebag !!!WHODEY !!! If he can fix those three things, PLUS actually show up for the Steelers games this year, then I'll have no problem with him.
Orange and black fanatic
Chad is "on board" because he and Rosenwhore both know it is in their bank accounts' best interests. Chad also has the motivation to be the best receiver in the league. So, he has to be in Carson's good graces.I believe Chad had an eye-opening experience at mini-camp. He saw that Carson was confident the offense could succeed without Chad because the other guys they have on board (really on board) can get the job done. I think Chad saw that the offense looked good without him and it forced his egocentric-hand to get involved. How could Ocho sit by while some rookies and probably in his mind "scrubs" took his receptions? In the end, Chad's pride will force him to play well. If this results in playoff wins for the Bengals and Chad getting traded after this season, that works for me.
