gregstephens
Props to JungleD for beating oldschooler to the post. That's tough to do.Well, I did post it on 2 other sites, then went to login here, forgot my password and had to be emailed another. And can I ask why my thread was moved to the NFL forum?Odell was drafted by the Bengals, was cut by the Bengals just2 weeks ago, and will probably never play for another team now.So even though he isn't with the team anymore, it is still Bengals news.I doubt a thread made about Anthony Munoz, Boomer or other formerBengals would have been moved. Are we only allowed to talk aboutformer Bengals that left on good terms or that you all deem worthy, in the Bengals forum? No big deal. Just wonder why you all are so quick to move threads here.Ecspecially one that is very Bengals related.I didn't move it, so I can't answer your question, but what's your beef? Who cares which forum it's in? It's still there and people can still talk about Thurman, although I cease to understand why.Bottom line, he's no longer a Bengal, he could be signed by another team and, most importantly to me, he's likely to be subject to NFL discipline, not Bengal discipline, hence it's NFL news not Bengals news.I've considered closing the thread because I believe we've seen the last twitch from the dead horse's leg. Be happy you can still drone on about this in any forum.

All I did was ask why it was moved. If you can't answer the question, then why respond ?And asking a question does not equal "having a beef".But it does seem like you have one with me. We root for the same team. Remember? Bottom line, he's no longer a Bengal, he could be signed by another team and, most importantly to me, he's likely to be subject to NFL discipline, not Bengal discipline, hence it's NFL news not Bengals news. There are a lot of players that are no longer Bengals, does thatmean they aren't worthy of the Bengals forum? The dude was drafted by the Bengals, and was released 2 weeks agounder what some thought were "heartless and unreasonable" circumstances.Whether he is still on the Bengals roster or not, it's still Bengals news.I've considered closing the thread because I believe we've seen the last twitch from the dead horse's leg. Be happy you can still drone on about this in any forum. Why close a thread because you don't want to talk about the topic? That's over-moderation at it's finest. I can "drone" on about it on A LOT of Bengals forums. None of them moved it to another Forum. I was just asking why this board was soquick to move Bengals news out of the Bengals forum is all. Geez. richmond_mat
Looks like the Bengals made the right decision on cutting Thurman. Odell Thurman faces an indefinite NFL suspension after violating the league substance abuse policy. I hate t osee all that talent wasted becasue of alcohol. If he is not under contract with any nfl team, how could he be required to take a test??? I don't get it. TJJackson
The incident may have occurred a few weeks back, when he was still under contract
Thurmanation
Some of you are just heartless. For some strange reason a few people believe this kid should hold up to their personal standards and feel the need to cut him down when he does not as if they are somehow better than he is. I just don't get it. I'm not a fan of Odell's, but I do not dislike him either. Why? Because I don't know him. I don't know what he has dealt with, so why the f**k would I cut him down on here and joke about his problems? He has done nothing to me personally, and he's been off the team for so long it doesn't even matter anymore, so what does that accomplish? I mean, it's not like he's Leonard Little driving around mowing people down in his SUV or Mike Vick having dog fights...the guy just has personal issues with alcohol and drugs that he can't shake, and that has all but completely cost him his dream. It's tragic...not as a Bengals fan, but as a human being.Took the words out of my mouth.

I just don't get it.I understand the point you are trying to make, but more than the fact that he already has repeatedly let downs the fans and the organization..........There is still the fact that HE IS A FATHER, AND HE NEEDS TO MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO RIGHT BY HIS CHILD. If that didnt make the dude GROW UP, i'm afraid nothing will.

Close the thread? Why would you even think that? WTF?Well, gee, because just like you have the freedom to say any stupid thing you wish and often do, I have the freedom to think about anything I want and decide not to do it. What is it with you people that gets on someone for thinking something, even if it's wrong, and deciding not to do it? Oh, hey, I've THOUGHT about punching people in the face at Bengals' games because I was in a bad mood and they stepped on my foot, but decided not to do it. I guess that's a power trip and I should be ashamed for even THINKING about it.Maybe you're a prime reason why any moderator on this board would consider closing any thread. After all, you and TJ Jackson caused three of them to be shut down last week. You tend to talk alot and say nothing.

And I don't think closing a thread on a forum board is exactly the same concept as grabbing someone's rear end. Fine, you want to condemn me for SAYING I thought about doing something I didn't do, go for it. I'm tired of belaboring this non-point. Ah, the things we endure for beer and a good smoke! Not a drinker, but I feel ya' on cigars. I'll tip you to a pretty decent, yet cheap smoke. Saint Luis Rey. You can get them from $2.50 to about $5.00. Their torpedoes got a 91 rating from Cigar Afficionado. Nice flavor. Only drawback is that they aren't consistent in terms of even burning. Some burn very evenly, others not.
