ArmyBengal
Not the place to try to bolster the safety position in my opinion, but then again, who cares ??WHODEY !!!

BTG
With their second pick in the 6th round, the Bengals select: Corey Lynch, S, Appalachian StateWHODEY !!!http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...coreylynch.htmlStrengths:Nice size and bulk...Aggressive with a great motor...Very smart with good instincts and awareness...Ballhawk with great hands...Is tough and physical...Supports the run...Hard worker and team leader with top intangibles...Fantastic special teamer. Weaknesses:Did not play against top competition...Is not an elite athlete...Does not have great timed speed...Lacks a burst to recover...Hips are not fluid...Can be too aggressive at times...Will struggle to match up in man coverage...Durability?....Limited upside. Notes:A three-time All-American....Prolific and productive small school star....Missed most of the 2004 season with an elbow injury....May not have all the physical tools you look for but makes up for it by doing all of the little things...Most likely profiles as a backup and special teamer at the next level but he can certainly excel in that role. What happened to the whole "we need depth at RB" thing? TJJackson
Do we have 20 safeties on the roster yet? We'll keep like 20 of them, right? Surely, we are getting close to that number

mgilgris
I really like this pick. If nothing else it puts a little pressure on the current safeties to step it up maybe forcing a cut of DJAX. This guy reminds me of a younger Kevin Kesvaharn (I hate spelling his name). Seems to be in the right place at the right time.

Hopes are that he can come back and have the same physical attributes he had before. Kilmer and Lynch can possible make special teams a strength this year. With Dhani Jones as the Captain, and throw in Cory Mays as a contributor too, things are looking up.
TJJackson
Kilmer is not a practice squad guyI don't dislike this player, but Safety was and is not a team need. Then again, the 5th safety needs to be a great special teamer, and from all reports, he is. I can't see them keeping more than one of the following three players: Herana-Daze, Busing, or this new guyStill, 4.6 speed is kinda crappy for a safety
ArmyBengal
All I can them doing is adding yet another person of the same skill set that we already have a bunch of. Now don't get me wrong, I like the skill set our guys in that position have, but how many do we need ?? I could have sworn they said we were going to address the running game...WHODEY !!! Mostly plays against the run. I just hope he's got smarts. Intelligence wins over the athlete bozo in a safety, especially a strong safety for me. Maybe, ya know he might have an idea of what play is coming then and doesn't have to react, by which time it's often too late to do anything about it. And anyways, it's not like he's going to be a starter.

Stripes
Safeties named Lynch have a solid track record. I follow the strategy.
