i'd like some opinions from other die hards!

Pardon my french but f**k that Motherf**ker. He is Carl Pickens Jr man. Lets trade him to Detroit for Roy Williams or ship him to the worst team that will take him for a good draft pick. Do not send him to a winning team. And once we do trade his fagget whiny ass then we can watch him cry over there. I used to love Chad man but he is done in my eyes. I hope he enjoyed wearing that hall of fame jacket last year because he just destroyed his image and his chances of getting in. He still has a chance ala Chris Carter (I know he was a great reciever) but he will have to do a complete three sixty. I am not opposed to having him sit on the bench all year and then when he wants to come back let him dress and let him watch every f**king game of the year from the sidelines while TJ has a career year. We now have to spend our second or one of our thirds on a reciever! Any suggestions on a third round reciever?

I want to see them make him sit and rot...an NFL team needs to finally make a stand and let these guys know that when they ask for this huge long term contracts, they can't ask every year for a raise because some other team paid someone more. Besides, if he doesn't play because of his choice, they don't have to pay him a dime...

At the risk of pissing off a US Marine, you mean a 180 right?

RE: the OP. Chad's problem is that he is stupid. He's also incapable of honest self assesment. There might be a link.

I'm really torn between two options:

1) Suspend his @ss! If I've got to take the salary cap hit anyway, why should he prosper/succeed? He can grow old outside the game without duping another owner into another $ of contract money.

2) Trade him to Miami or Detroit or Oakland or Atlanta where he can grind out the rest of his miserable career and wonder "what if?"

Love the guy. He tells it like it is regarding this franchise. I hope nothing but the best for him and his future.

That isn't right, they had a winning team two years ago and then their franchise QB went down with a knee injury which did in our 06 season that and special teams and injuries killed us in 2007. He needs to play one more year and if we don't produce then bounce, stop f**king whining Chad. We have a good chance of starting the season five and one.

That was THEN. One winning season out of 17. Ya know if this was the first player dissing this franchise i'd hate him to. But it isn't. When one player talks smack, okay he's the issue. Two? Maybe both. Three? Four? Gotta be something to talented players consistently wanting off the Bengals roster.

You know, Dillon (except for 2003) and Pickens played for awful teams. I don't really consider this team to be awful. Yeah, the defense was ranked 21 last year, but the offense has been in the top ten for the last three years. I hardly think that compares. What i think is going on is this: Marvin told him to quit taking plays off, become a team player, and stop acting like a child. I'm sure Chad didn't like that at all and now he wants out. He's been able to do whatever he damn pleases for so long.

If we could trade him for 2 draft picks then by all means trade him, but we still take the salary cap hit, thats the problem. The only way I see us trading him is us taking a salary in return, to help balance things out. IMHO, I would let the bastard sit on the bench and show him we can win w/o him and suspend him w/o pay!!!

As long as the players are malcontent jackasses like Chad and Pickens, I have no problem with it. The problem with your theory is that real leaders stick around and work to make the team better. Get back to me with evidence of Munoz, Braham, Willie, Carson, TJ, etc., dissing the team and wanting out.

Of all the people one could look to for an assessment of the state of the Bengals organization, why in the world would you rely on the opinion of someone who constantly contradicts himself, isn't very bright, and has been consistently the most selfish employee the organization has ever known?

Our one playoff game in 17 years. We're winning at halftime. Chad melts down in the locker room and throws a hissy fit, and physically attacks his boss because he's not getting the ball enough. That's the person you trust to evaluate a professional football organization?

It's not the team, it's the player.

I like a good Mike Brown roast as much as the next guy, but this has nothing to do with wins and losses. This is all about Princess Chad's ego and his inablity to manage his money. Carson needs to tell MB that he can trade him, sit him or play him, but he will not throw it his way. I have never booed a local athlete in my life, but I will boo his a$$ the second he steps on the field.

Personally, I had no problem with Spikes or Dillon, because it was about winning with them. Chad Johnson only cares about himself.

I wouldn't take anything less than a first round pick for Chad, and even then I'd have to think about it. No matter what you get, you aren't going to be able to replace him this year. There's no FA WR available anywhere near his talent level, and the draft is weak at wideout. Especially now that Henry has p*ssed away his career, trading Chad would trash the passing game. If you think they struggled with Chad, TJ and the flavor of the week out there last season, wait until you get a look at TJ, Antonio "oft-injured" Chatman and Doug "spent last season flipping burgers" Gabriel.
