Positions of need..

I also like how Dallas has the most picks in the first round and the least amount of needs (Tied with TB for 3) *** damn cowboys

make the effort some time and look at draft predictions compared to draft results. Conclusion I've drawn is that 99.99% of mock drafts and analysis are

ignorant. You're better off ignoring them until the day before the draft. Then get some of your favorite beer, wine, 40 proof, and catch up on all you've missed. Wake up hung over for the draft.

we need a d-tackle and a center most of all. i don't know if bluto will be able to hold up against all the monster that play d-tackles in our division.

You got that right cincy. Linemen, linemen, and more linemen!

Yeah the last mock on yahoo.com had the Bengals taking 3 offensive tackles in the first 4 rounds. That was without any comp. picks. These so called draft experts don't know jack and they don't follow most of the teams so their takes are not very relevant.

I would truthfully not mind 3 Olinemen in the first 3 rounds if Dtackle was first rounder. We need to improve our interior linemen Whitworth can make it as RT but we need to upgrade center / LG if we move whitworth.

I think three is pushing it, but their taking at least one is a virtual lock, IMO. If the can't get Dorsey or Ellis, a guy like Clady or Vandy's Chris Williams (who got his nice writeup from footballoutsiders.com a couple days ago) could easily be the best combo of filling a need + BPA when the ninth pick rolls around.

I think 2 (G and C) in r2-5 makes sense. With Stacey, Whit and Levi, we have a solid set of versatile T's....Willie's extended warranty is about up and repairs will be coming quick/fast at high cost.

Williams has a couple of seasons left where he will be starting. Ghiaciuc needs sharper improvement if he is going to lead the line for the next 5-7 years.

Depth is the question:

C: Santucci and Cook - There could be decent development here so a bit of a ? Upgrading always an option but just anot enough info to say just how talented these two are or how their development is going.

G: Kooistra and Livings - we've seen Kooistra enough to know he is not a starter so he just needs to be versatile enough to fill in as emergency depth. Livings...another ?

T: Uperesa - just as unknown in terms of progress.

Looking to add talented depth on the line should always be a priority. Taking another C/G later in r4-7 could do just that.

As for Big Willie, plan for the worst and consider Clady at 9 or Cherlius/Otah/Nicks in r2-3, best value ruling the decision. If Willie can play, fine, then all we've done is improved depth over a Kooistra or Uperesa since I cannot see Willie starting in 09.

This is a deep

With Willie and Levi's injuries lately plus there careers are starting to wind down; the Bengals have to got to protect there main investment (Carson Palmer) so we really do need to try to find at least 2 stud OL in this draft. I would actually take one of the OL with the 9th pick if the stud DT's are gone. Here's a predicament I don't see happening; but if it did what would we do. OL Jake Long & DT Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey both fall to the 9 spot. Who do we take?

That choice would be tough beyond belief, but the odds of all three of these prospects falling to #9 are slim and none.
