MARVIN=W'S
From Bengals.com--"The Bengals are thought to be monitoring Takeo Spikes' travels through the NFL, but they haven't shown an inclination to sign 10-year veterans during this free agency period." I know there will be many people that will say that he didn't want to be a part of the turn around when Marvin came so why bring him back. But I would love to see him come back to add depth to our LB's and serve as a leader and proven vet. Will he be the TKO he was last time here of course not but would he help more than Blackstock??? I'd say probably. Plus I guess we are going after some other Arizona scrub LB, bring Takeo back.

BZBot
A veteran does wonders for a defense, especially one who knows the pain Bengal fans have been through.Source: http://www.bengalszone.com/article.php?sid=
agreen_112
He caused pain, f**k him!... He didn't want to be here before and now look at him. He's right back where he started... I'm glad, haha.
walzav29
I was watching the replay of the Broncos/Falcons Superbowl last night and Romanowski was 32 at the time and was a terror. I just don't like all of the inexperience at the position. You can't blame Spikes for being miserable. He struggled to get to 6-10 and the next thing you know they're 2-14. Then you get a rookie QB and it all starts again. You know he still had Akili on the brain. He is a highly competitive player. Get him. Larry
It say's he is coming into for a visit? Did he or when? I still have his jersy, with a Hardy name plate on it that could easily be switched back....

bryce40
That's what I want an old, injury prone linebacker for this team. That was wish #1 on my list for this offseason.
walzav29
It's not the #1 need, but it is a need.
711chad
a linebacker is a need he is healthy now so y not give it a chance...i forgive takeo also who did want to play here? he was fed up give Takeo a chance
HoosierCat
Not happening, I think. It isn't the direction the team is going in this offseason. This go-round it's all about signing young guys coming off rookie deals who can be long-term contributors, not about temporarily plugging holes with aging vet stopgaps. walzav29
Sam Adams, Kevin Hardy, Tory James seem like the same type of signing. Marvin does like veterans.
COB
Takeo left because he wanted to win. He didn't win. His 4 years with the Bills and 1 with the Eagles resulted in 35 wins. Same 5 year period under Marvin the Bengals won 42 games. Stupid decision. We weren't good enough for him five years ago, but suddenly we're good enough for him now? He ruptured his achilles in Buffalo. He tore his rotator cuff in Philly. He's headed for the IR here as well, so I hope the Bengals say no. walzav29
19 wins in his 5 seasons. That's pathetic. I said if he passes the physical.

Takeo's a bum, always has been!I'd prefer we skip the Spikes reunion tour as well...but not because he is a bum. I think Takeo still has plenty of miles in him but is not what this D needs.Takeo needs to go to a place where the system is proven snd he can plug-and-play. He would do well in a D like Dallas, SD, even Jax.This D does not need a reunion with a guy who refused to play in the new ML era, despite all the poisoned years and frustration he went through. One issue is where does he play? Who sits so Takeo can start? Dhani? Brooks? Jeanty...Takeo is a MLB and does not have the speed for the outside.
walzav29
I would say who's spot couldn't he take. There is not 1 established LB on this roster.

He wants to retire here... Takeo left thinking the grass was greener on the other side and now he looks like a dumbass! If the Bengals sign him, I'll cuss at the screen every game. I f**king can't stand Takeo Spikes. I hated him when he was here, hated him when he was gone, and hate him even more for even thinking about coming back to Cincinnati... He's the one player that I was ever happy about losing.
kingwilly
I would say who's sot couldn't he take. There is not 1 established LB on this roster.Ok, I agree with that. Let's say he can start in the middle. I guess my issue is the "coming home" part. Maybe I jsut feel like he is just looking for a final fat contract to get him through this and next yar so he can exit the NFL with as much coin as possible....I think I'm being overly negative, can't help it when it is a guy who wouldn't give it a chance before.
