jjakq27
Congrats to Tom Coughlin. He may not have endeared himself to his players at times but he looks pretty good hoisting that Super Bowl trophy tonight. Amazing that they started off 0-2 and were down in their third game at Washington and came back to win the Super Bowl. They defeated Dallas, Green Bay and New England to win the championship. All teams they had already lost to during the regular season. Talk about making some adjustments!

jjakq27
http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Artic...sty_killer.htmlWow. What a great track record. This guy also wanted to blow up the Bengals orgainzation from top to bottom when he interviewed for the job in 2003. Too bad we didn't listen to him. Too bad we didn't listen to him.Or maybe we did listen to him and so went with Marvin instead. I think he scared them with his candor and frankness. Plus they previously had someone similar in demeanor with Bruce Coslet and they were interested in finding someone to become the face of the franchise nationally and within the community. Marvin seemed better suited to those requirements than Coughlin. But in the end winning games is all that really matters.
COB
http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Artic...sty_killer.htmlThanks Hoosier, that was a good read. Congrats to Tom Coughlin, I am so happy for that guy. He's been through the ringer in New York, and he completely deserves this Super Bowl win. Seeing the Patriots go down to the Giants = Justice. ShulaSteakhouse
I like coughlin, but i don't see him being anymore successful then marvin because our problems are in the front office. And the reason he wasn't hired here, is because he wanted too many changes. I remember specifically he wanted more access to film and to build or improve the "video room" and add more scouts, etc..., (in other words, bring the operations up to par with the rest of the league - can't blame him). My guess is Coughlin wanted the power to get rid of long time company sloths like Paul Alexander as well.Of course, Mike Brown put such nonsense to rest and decided on someone who was more deserperate or amicable to running with his "efficient business."
