HoosierCat
Can I keep Paul Alexander and get a bubble? You can have a bubble, but Paul Alexander gets to be the new Bubble Facility Manager, and he buys one of those kiddie "Moonwalks" for the team... redsfan2
Agreen and Jet 23 get the easy jobs..We don't have any linebackers to coach, and we don't use tight ends .... so they don't need to coach the ones we do have.

redsfan2
Been kicking this topic around since I read it.. Have to go against the grain here and keep coach Lewis. This is shaping up to be a really dismal year , but we've all seen some pretty good coaches have some pretty bad years. Our linebacking corps is non existent, and the O line isn't performing like most of us thought it would. Drafts under Lewis have overall been better than they were prior to his arrival.. ( with a couple of notable exceptions of course ).The one thing he hasn't been able to do is land a good defensive coordinator. I'm not crazy about the idea of switching them out every 2 years, but it really does need to be addressed. I have no idea on who to be looking at ........ but based on the history neither do the people who do it for a living and should know.Keep coach LewisGet new:DC, backs and backers coaches & strength & conditioning coach. Spor_tees
Hell lets bring in Nick Saban...maybe he'll make a speech to the media comparing the Bengals season to the LA riots. BTW I am very disappointed I was not given a coaching job.
Kirkendall
Were are the threads bashing Carson, is he above rebuke. When Chad has a bad game nobody thinks twice about calling him every name under the sun, shouldn't Carson get the same treatment? No.
Kirkendall
It's so much more than just yesterdays game. This team has regressed in every phase.I believe we are seeing the effects of poor decision making for the past three years. Especially the loss of Hue Jackson. Our wide receivers need a person that they can talk and relate to and Shepard is not the guy. In hind site wouldn't have been the better decision to offer Hue the Offensive coordinator job and get rid of Bratkowski? What does Brat bring to the table? Nothing. Bench Carson for the start of the game next week, everyone needs to know that they have to work hard to earn what they want. Just for a play or two. I don't think we'll be any worse off. Some of his decisions yesterday were atrosious. Are you kidding me? Bench Carson? Do you actually think that's going to happen? Do you think that would have a positive outcome? What? You don't want to see the tight spiral beautiful passing of Ryan Fitzgerald? He's the man!!!
Kirkendall
I did a search on this post and no one specifically mentioned injury or injuries suffered by this team (unless someone spelled it wrong). There's many different subjects -- other than head coaches next year -- so it's not simply a matter of sticking inside the thread of this topic. But not mentioning that, while demanding Palmer get benched and providing a list of available head coaches is mind-boggling. And let's throw in the crosshairs on the Bengals backs from the Chancellor of the NFL throwing out ridiculous 32 games suspensions on a guy everyone in the world expected to be playing on the field now. When all that adds up, the Bengals are constantly behind the eight-ball. And what coach, historically and currently, could overcome everything that this team has had to endure the past 1.5 years? The football gods are not pleased. Therefore we need a human sacrifice. Suggestions?
ArmyBengal
Kirk, I've mentioned injuries (maybe not in this thread specifically) but in others but the problem you have is members not willing to think that injuries are a problem but more of an excuse... I have almost given up on discussing why the injuries have been a big factor...WHODEY !!!

ArmyBengal
You don't have to be a Marvin "supporter" or "hater" to realize the injuries have taken there toll on this team... Who the freaking coach is, is completely irrelavant to the impact they have had. God knows Geathers playing LB (A position he's never played) didn't have any impact at all on this defense right ?? The loss of a 1st round pick in Pollack is no big deal either huh ?? Jeanty (who just came back) hasn't been missed one bit has he ?? Oh, but thank God, we have Caleb Miller and freakin Schlegal to fill in right ?? D*MN YOU MARVIN !!!!WHODEY !!!

I was particularly struck by the coachs' comment of " you just plug the next guy in and go on ". Uhhh, coach ? there ain't no next guy. You're playing a defensive end at linebacker.Reminds me of a story .. it's short .. bear with me.Lady goes into a store and asks the clerk for celery. He says I'm sorry .. the truck didn't come in today and we don't have any celery. She walks off down and aisle ... but retruns in just a couple of minutes and again asks the clerk where the celery is. He explains again about the truck and says .. so thats why we don't have any celery. She nods and walks off again ... and comes right back. At this point the clerk is ready to lose it and says look lady .. let me explain it this way.If you take the bed out of bedroom .. what do you have ?? She replies .. well room of course. He says thats right ... now if you take the lemon out of lemonade .. what do you have ?? She replies why ade .. naturally .. He says .. you're right again ... now listen close .. If you take the f---k out of celery .. what do you have. Startled, she replies why young man .. thats absurd ... there is no f---k in celeryHe says That right lady THERE IS NO F---KIN CELERY.Note to the coach ............. there is no f--k in linebackers either. What's the point when we finally have an excuse to resume our bitter ramblings against the owner that's all but sat in the background letting Marvin Lewis make a majority of the personnel decisions -- including taking 10.5 sack-master Robert Geathers and making him an average, at best, player at a position he's never played before after five linebackers are falling on the "won't play in 2007" list. I suppose I'll confirm to the Mike Brown is Satan musings for a recreational professional football team that we "love" but despise.
