Kenny looked like a machine tonight -- he and the offensive line really stepped it up 2nd half. That play by Dede when he did his little spin move to get the first down in the 4th was unreal. Felt like I had never seen a bengal RB drop something like that before. go bengals

ShulaSteakhouse
And they better at least split series when Rudi comes back, with Watson. He should be getting a lot more carries until he proves he doesn't deserve to.
volcom69
He did a great job of finding the hole when needed and o-line did a great job of opening them up for him great job guys.
Casey
That was a great job by Watson and the o-line, everyone got stronger as the game went on and it was nice to see. It was also great to see Levi recover from those two early false starts. After last week, those could have been a disaster for him mentally, but he put them behind him. Dawg BpG
I was surprised he got 31 touches.Props to Kenny for his big game, more importantly props to the coaching staff for not freaking out and letting Carson rip when things didn't look so good. JoePong
Amazing what can happen when you have a RB who can hit a hole. The O-Line has NEVER been the problem with our running game.

Sportsdoc
Get real.Rudi's skills are deteriorating badly. Look at the drop in yards per carry last year. Now his yards per carry is now down to arround 3. That means no effective ground offense and many losses. THe only game he has done anything is the Cleveland game whose run defense is as bad as ours. agreen_112
Rudi's still our #1 guys. Kenny has done a great job filling in. I give more credit to the o-line for steppin up their game and openening holes all day for Watson... No controversy here yet.

The O-Line has NEVER been the problem with our running game.Go back and watch some game film from about 3 weeks ago of Rudi having to dodge 3 defenders in the backfield every play. A few weeks ago there WERE no holes. Also go back and watch film from 2005 when the o-line was healthy and Rudi had about a 4.5 YPC.I don't get you - did Rudi run over your dog or what? They are different RB's and complement each other well. However - not to be a downer but let's not forget that we were playing the Jets. Three weeks ago we were playing the Pats. HoosierCat
I've always been lukewarm about Rudi, and I have definitely gone cold on him this season, but I think yesterday was less about who was running and more about the fact they were running itself.Just to put things in perspective, they called 41 runs versus 21 passes yesterday. Carson hasn't thrown that few passes since week 1 2006, 19 versus KC. Of those runs, 31 were by Kenny Watson. Last time Rudi got 31 or more carries in a game? Week 10 2004 versus DC (31).And not only did they run it, they ran it regardless of score: down 23-10, they ran the ball 10 times for 55 yards on their way to a Housh TD. How often have we seen this team get down a few points, and then abandon the run as if it were the plague? Not yesterday. As much as we bash Brat around here, he deserves a pat on the back for that game. Nicely done, Bob.
redsbengalsbucks
I WOULD RATHER SLAP THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AND SAY "SEE WHAT RUNNING THE BALL CAN DO FOR YOUR TEAM!"It is to bad that it has taken this long for the coaches to realize that, just because RUDI is hurt it does not mean that the running game is completely gone. The Offense helped the defense by controlling the clock in the second half, giving them a chance to rest between series and it opened up holes for the WR's to get free and make some nice catches to keep the O balanced.I hope they stick with this style offense, with a few shots deep down feild when Hemry gets back in stride. The Defense should take the OC and Kenny Watson out for dinner this week. They did just enough to help the defense not lose another game.
