CarsonCity
Absolutely zero chance. So we are 1-3. If we go 3-13, who should we draft first? The Bengals most certainly have a shot at winning this game. I don't know how many of you guys have made it down for a primetime, nationally televised game at PBS, but I've been to a couple and let me tell you, the crowd is absolutely electric. It's downright pandemonium from the opening kickoff to the final whistle. That alone gives the Bengals an edge (note: not the edge) all game long. While the Patriots are an excellent, excellent football team, the Bengals aren't too bad themselves. We all know about the potent offense, but also consider that the Seahawks have long been an offensive force too. While the Bengals' D didn't shut them down (especially when they needed to), they played pretty dang well IMO - especially when considering the litany of injuries they've had to fight through. Will they be able to stop a now high powered Patriots offense? Probably not. But if they can force a key turnover or 3, with Carson and company executing at their highest level (needs to happen to beat a Superbowl caliber team), the Bengals might just stun everybody - or at least all those already conceding a 1-3 start. WhoDey93285
We are in PrimeTime and in our Orange Jerseys, which we are undefeated in.Sadly, those are the only things going for us.38-17 Patriots.

WhoDey93285
Hey Monday Night, I'm going to be screaming my guts out, pulling for my team just as hard as ever, but after today I'm just not expecting much - we're not that good people. Our defense sucks, our coaches suck and we're absolutely wasting loads and loads of talent on an aging offense byu not having a defense to give it a chance. Not much to be excited about. Stripes
I won't pick the Bengals to win, but yes of course they have a chance to win. I figure the line will favor the Pats by 6 or 7 on the road. This team is not even close to as horrible as is being stated here. Let's remember fondly that when a few of us visited the Patriots board last year, they were all dreary after losing badly to Denver and gave their team no chance to beat us.The result? 38-13 Pats. The NFL just isn't that simple. Spor_tees
Let me give a little light to this situation. With all the injuries on defense and all the new players that just joined the team, the Pats don't have any video tape to watch of them to cheat with! walzav29
The Bengals will be a step behind the whole game. Do you have any idea how many times the Patriots have been in games like this? A thousand. They have beaten complete teams in every form of hype and circumstance. The Bengals may even have a lead for a minute? Final score will be Pats 41Bengals
HoTbOy
The Bengals have a chance, how many of us thought the Browns had a chance??? They say that's why you play the game...I do however think the Pats will win, It seems that we can't beat them or the Colts...
The PatternMaster
Oh we're actually going to play the game, I thought we were going to forfeit and hide at home under the covers on monday night. You mean the team actually has to show up and play the game, can't we just pass and go to 1-3?
DC_Bengals_Fan
Do they have a chance? Yes.Is that chance good? Nope. Not only are the Patsies a better team overall, their greatest strength (big play to Moss) exploits a weakness that we're already soft on for bad receivers. Put bluntly, if the Browns and Seahawks can gash our secondary, and if our CBs and Ss are having serious communication issues, what are our chances against Tom Brady and a suddenly good group of receivers? If something doesn't change quick, I can easily see Moss going for 2-3 TDs and 150 yds. I'm not thrilled about it, but there it is.

This team is in SHAMBLES.200 percent chance that we will be 1-3 after net Monday nightPats 41Bengals 24Somewhere between slim and none. This is exactly the type of stuff they were saying last year over on the Colts' message baord before our Monday night game against them. The Bengals were coming off 4 straight wins, and the Colts had been embarrassed by giving up about 86,000 rush yards to the Jaguars. Final score - Colts 34, Bengals 16.Do I think the Bengals should be favored against the Patriots? Of course not. Simply put, the Patriots are a better team. But, like I said earlier, this game is at home, and the crowd noise will be helping the (suspect) defense all game long. Plus, anytime you got a guy named Carson Palmer on your team, you got a pretty good shot of winning the game.
ShulaSteakhouse
The Bengals' fan in me says they played a decent game at Seattle and almost pulled it off despite being banged up worse than any time I've seen in a long time here, and I'm not giving up hope on them quite yet. They're capable of a turnaround most definitely. The realist in my says that i've seen this all before and to expect anything to suddenly change. So I'm somewhere in the middle, and will stop complaining. Got it out of me for the week I think.
